Sealing all our joins is important as it eliminates the risk of water issues. If not plastering the joints then a piece of aluminium flashing can be used to cover joints. Like any Traditional Frame; this insulated panels need to be tied down to the slab or subfloor. On a concrete slab; we would use anchor bolts to secure the cyclone rod. If we are using the Insulated panel for the sub floor then the cyclone rod can be taken through and secured with a washer and nut.

Once we have a series of wall panels installed; we can now move onto our next step. This galvanised C section will be used to not only cap the top of the panels but also be used to strengthen and align the panels.

Once the Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) and cyclone rod have been installed, we can continue on with putting up the insulated panels. Once again, before joining anything; continuous lines of Polyurethane Sealant needs to be applied. It’s also a good idea to apply some blobs of sealant on the cyclone rod to avoid any rattling in the RHS.

In this step; we install our first insulated panel. It is vital continuous lines of polyurethane sealant are applied on the wall locator. The edge of panel needs to line up with exisiting mark, so that when the next components are installed the panel will not be fouling.

This next step involves us placing our insulated panel on the wall locator. Marking this out will ensure we have a starting point as well as establishing a point for the next two components of installation.

Installing the wall locator is critical as it ensures the insulated panel will sit correctly on the Locator Over Edge. This will be achieved by screwing at 450mm centres the 22 mm batten.

The first step involves us using the Locator Over Edge (LOE). This will keep the insulated panels free of any moisture and also be resisted to pests. Important to use a polyurethane sealant before fixing LOE to slab or sub floor with appropriate fixings.
