yale student lives like Rory Gilmore for a day 📚☕️ | visiting rory’s dorm, beinecke library, coffee
Turn on 1080p | Hey everyone! It’s been a while, but I’m back! I was busy wrapping up most of my midterms :) and being sick :( It was Thanksgiving break for students, so I could finally relax a little! Though I’m honestly not a huge fan of the show Gilmore Girls, this was such a fun video to film and it was nice to live like Rory for a day! It was also a good idea because I had some work to get through still, and being like Rory forced me to not procrastinate like I often do 😅 In this video, I’ll take you with me as I walk around Yale’s campus in the fall, visit Rory’s residential college Branford, go to the famous Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, be productive, get takeout and drink lots of coffee (of course)! I'll note that as a first-year, you're required to live on campus. Hi there, I recently connected with your channel. Keep up the good work! I have a suggestion: consider adding food shots to your content. It would be interesting to see what you eat and what is served at the Yale, such as the daily menu. and One question why you blur students, boards, and screens, it is due to restrictions or guidelines set by the institution?
Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I'll definitely take the feedback into account, especially in regards to the food shots! If you watch some of my earlier vlogs, I used to film my meals too, but I started not to include them because I thought people wouldn't be that interested in them. I was wrong, I guess! :) My general policy for blurring people and their screens is just something I chose to implement to protect others' privacy. It doesn't seem right to me personally to just share people's identities and activity online for hundreds to see without their consent. As to classes and lecture boards, I do blur those out because of institutional reasons! Most classes are copyrighted and private, so you cannot disseminate their content publicly and/or without permission.

New Haven is very much a college town, so I definitely feel that! It's not that big compared to other larger cities and universities, but New Haven is still a beautiful place with a lot of history! Also, thank you for watching the video :)

There are actually lots of students around haha, but I usually record when there are less people or blur out faces to protect people’s privacy! But the environment does tend to be pretty nice :)

I'm glad you're liking the videos :) I won't ever post my stats and app details because they have personal information that I'd like to keep private, but to sum things: I was a good student in high school and all my test scores (ACT, Subject Tests) were on the higher side of Yale's median range. Oh, and to respond to this: I did get a virtual interview, which went pretty well! Mine was a little unusual because it was with a Yale senior instead of an alumnus, unlike other unis I applied to.
