Mike Laielli of Brigantine New Jersey demonstrates the versatility of the Sunova Creek Surf SUP on a 2 to 3 foot day. It’s quite surprising to find out this board is also good for casual nose riding. Due to the low rocker entry and higher volume nose it’s great for early entry into waves helps to carry speed through the slow sections but it’s also great for nose riding!

    I just bought a paddleboard and have only taken it out twice both times in the ocean with small 1-2' swells rolling in with clean glassy conditions. So far I have struggled....the first time I fell off 6 times and the 2nd time just twice.....this is harder than I thought it would be even after over 5 decades of advanced surfing. How long does it take to get comfortable or natural at paddling and catching waves? BTW...awesome video for the novice paddleboarder 🤙👍

    Would an all around board be appropriate for ocean paddleboarding for stability? Or what would be recommended?

    • @primalsurfshop
      @primalsurfshop 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Melissa, Paddleboards in the all-around category generally have more bottom rocker as opposed to flatness of a touring board. The rocker allows for the board to fit an uneven water surface much better than the flat board. Flat boards are built for speed and stability. as a beginner, for someone that is paddling conditions like that you would do better with an all rounder. I hope this helps. Mike
