Norrdine, you should come to Bulgaria :) Plenty of unique and beautiful mountains to climb as well as the highest peak in the Balkan peninsula, Musala with 2925m. Your videos are very well made and inspiring, you deserve way more views 👍

Thanks for the video! Do you have any standard cardio benchmarks that are good touchstones for the fitness needed to climb a high mountain (8000m)? Time to climb 1km elevation, 2km elevation, run 5km flat, run 10km flat... Also, do you have strava?

Hey, Norrdine I am 19 years of age from Nepal , I've been solo-ing base camps of several mountains , I love trekking and the adrenaline rush I get being alone in harsh places , You are such an inspiration for me now on , I really want to follow your journey , I am yet to learn proper mountaineering but I sure'll and I'd love to iron my body to be able to do no oxygen Mt. Everest with you someday , this comment is a petition for it , I love mountains and I know I can feel the life in them , Life is so fun this way , adrenaline and memories , so cool !

Great to see you Norrdine, I have been wondering if you were safe and well. Welcome back to TH-cam.

Back in my 20's I was lucky enough to live in Hawaii. I stayed in good shape by surfing, swimming, mountain biking, and running 3-5 miles every few days. I never ran more than 8 miles at any time though. I decided to run the 1993 Honolulu Marathin and didn't train at all for it and still finished 4:04:47. You are in better shape and have way better endurance and determination than I had when I ran that race, so you shouldn't have any problem breaking 3 hours.

Glad your getting set up and training. Love your journey and will be excited for some smaller adventures.

Waiting for your annapurna south face also

I climbed a 1400m mountain and it was quite challenging gaining just 1100m in altitude. I can’t imagine doing that multiplied by 5 or 6. Really puts into perspective the type of shape that real climbers are in. Hopefully I get to that point one day. Good luck on your future expeditions, no oxygen is seriously impressive!

Without sherpa support? You might of mentioned or wrote about this but I havent seen it. What does without sherpa support mean? Food alone would weigh way too much from when you left say the village. What supplies are you gathering and how as you make your ascent. Another example would be gas used for melting snow etc.
