Worked awesome ! No toxic chemicals and no $$$ for a plumber ! I feel so proud of my handy girl skills. Haha
Hell yeah 💪💪💪 thank you for sharing!
I came across this vid AFTER I used Liquid Plumber which worked a little bit but I still need to snake it 😫😢😭
At least you got it flowing!
Never thought I’d leave a comment on a TH-cam video, but this well deserved! Thank you so much for taking the time and providing this content. Absolutely phenomenal!
Well, thank you kind sir. That means a lot thank you!🙏
How does vinegar and soda get past it but not the chemical “helper” lmao. I used the combo like five minutes ago and watched the sink drain slowly after multiple days of no movement. Our pipes were installed minus the slope ffs so I gotta overhaul my plumbing system now goddamit ahaha. I should have just left it be but who am I kidding was bound to happen since the previous owner hired some sundowner plumber 👨🔧
I’m glad you got it resolved. The best thing you do in the meantime is do your best to keep oils / grease and other things that don’t move well from down the drain.
I did it and it worked! My kitchen sink plugged right before a snow storm where I knew there wouldn’t be help for 3 days, I tried it exactly with baking soda, vinegar and boiling water. Thank you!
You’re welcome! I’m glad you got it just in time! Thank you for sharing your story and success! 💪💪💪
Thank you so much for making this vid. It worked! Baking soda, vinegar, and 3 plunges it was unclogging!!! Thanks again
Perfect! Thank you for sharing your success 💪💪💪
Gahhhh the plunger method worked ! Didnt want to add too many liquids , and didnt have a drain stopper. So i used a rag on one sink, and plunged the other. And booom!!! It worked!!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing!
When using the plunger, do we need to plug the dishwasher air gap also?
It depends how severe to clog. I haven’t needed to but you may need to
You will divert the suction to where it is needed
Works
Awesome thank you for sharing your success!
Thank you worked great
Your Welcome! Thanks for sharing your success!
Guys from a plumber pov all you’re doing is pushing the problem further down🤦♂️literally no need for this
Not everyone can afford a plumber 🥺. What is your recommendation for those who can’t afford a plumber and don’t have the skills and confidence to snake a drain themselves? We all would appreciate your tips and tricks.
Repeated several times, and it worked! Thank you!!
You’re welcome! Thank you for sharing your success!
The plunger tip did the trick! Initially, I wasn’t blocking and applying pressure to one side so it wasn’t working. Thanks 🙏🏾 👌🏾
Your welcome! I’m glad you figured it out!
Worked! Thanks brother!
Your welcome! Happy holidays!
Saved my Christmas Eve. Thank you!!!
You saved it 💪 Merry Christmas !
This saved me on Christmas Eve as my double sink was clogged just like this and the stores were already closed and I didn't have Draino. I used every last ounce of cleaning vinegar I had but this WORKED!! 🙏
You did it! 💪Glad you found this video merry Christmas!
If you haven’t done so yet, please consider subscribing more good videos coming that are very useful!
Thank you so much! This worked great! If you have other baking soda products for carpet cleaning or for pets make sure you use plain baking soda because the other products have a silica in them and can actually add to clogging the sink.
Thank you for the tip! That makes perfect sense 🙂
Thank you so much I was a stressed but it worked I learned something new thank you again 😊 that deserves a subscribe!!!
You’re welcome and thank you for sharing your success and for the sub!
Thank you! It worked. You just saved my hundreds on a plumber visit.
Best time of the year to be saving money thank you for sharing your success!!! 💪💪💪
None of this worked for me. I even snaked it. The clog may be deeper down in the piping 😢
Is it isolated or are you having an issue with all drains?
Your video saved me from calling the plumber. Thank you
Your welcome! Glad to hear it! 💪💪💪
Same here.
@jasonwhisnant5457 awesome!!!
Thanks so much!! Worked like a charm !!
You’re welcome Jerry! Thank you for sharing your success! 💪💪💪
Be careful. You cannot use boiling water if your pipes are made of plastic.
It will be fine because you’re pouring boiling water into cool water. It will neutralize almost instantly but it’ll be enough to break down the grease without damaging pipes. You want hot water to reach the grease and turn it from solid gunk to a liquid. It’s bad for plastic pipes (ABS or PVC) if it has repeated exposure to boiling water with no existing standing water. I have never had an issue. There shouldn’t be repeated exposure because once you have a clog like this, you learn real quick to not let grease get down the drain. At least that’s how it went for me 🤣
Ok ima try it. I’ll come back to let u know it works 😊
You got this you need to save that money for these holidays 💪
Did it work for you?
Didn't work for me.
Some people tried multiple times. Did you try the plunger? If so, you have no choice but the snake the drain. Maybe you’re lucky and the clog is in the P-trap?
I’ve tried all this. My nephew has continuously poured grease down my drain. Nothing is working. Someone told me to try to acid. But I’m afraid that they will come back up in my house, and I have dogs.
If you have that much grease buildup, you’re gonna have no choice but to snake to Drain the problem with the acid is if it sits there, it’s gonna deteriorate your pipes and then you’re gonna be in big trouble. Sitting with grease is once it cools off it’s solidifies and it will not move. It will attract other junk to it that will stick and make the clog worse. You could pick up a snake for $35 - 50 at Home Depot. Take the p trap apart, clean the trap then run the snake in the drain going to the wall. The P trap should be hand tight only just pay attention to the way. The washers are oriented. Take a picture. If you need to to make sure it goes back the same way you will definitely need some buckets to catch any water. Good luck!!!
Thanks so much. I was about to call apartment maintenance for the 100th time for plumbing issues. This saved me, I was able to clear the clog using apple cider vinegar and baking soda! I got most of the sitting water into the toilet and then tried it. Let's go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing your tip with the community. I love that getting rid of some of the water in the toilet, great idea! 👏👏👏💪💪💪
Plunger tip worked great for me. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Awesome!💪💪💪
This never works for me.😢
Did you try it or are you reluctant to try it because it’s failed in the past?
@CRACKERJACKSDIY oh yes, I have tried it many times, and over the past year it has been getting worse. I would have gotten under and taken the pvc apart, but if it didn't work, I can't call a plumber with my sick dog. I'll try it again today. I also just got a metal clog remover 30 inch. Wish me luck.😉
I’m rooting for you! Don’t be afraid to take apart the P-trap. It should only be on their hand tight pay special attention to the direction of the washers and make sure they go on the same way to avoid leaks when you put it back together maybe take a picture of it.. clean out the P-trap and then run your metal rod into the pipe going into the wall. Make sure to have buckets just in case. Let me know how it goes of course if you hadn’t tried it yet. Make sure to try the plunger seal off the other side really tight I mean airtight!
@@CRACKERJACKSDIY thanks
Still clogged! Am i screwed?
Some people had success training more than once. You are not screwed. If this is the only drain in your house that’s having an issue that would be a problem if it was more than one Drain. worst case scenario you have to take apart the P-trap apart and clean then run a snake into the wall. If you’re not comfortable with that, definitely hire a plumber for a very knowledgeable handyman. Do your best to avoid oils, grease or coffee grounds down to Drain in the future, this is most likely the problem.
Did you try plunging it yet? Make sure to seal off one side completely.
headed to the store now for the baking soda and vinegar. Fingers crossed. I appreciated the tips!! I'll update if it worked.
Let me know! 🤞
@@CRACKERJACKSDIY It WORKED!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I seriously can't thank you enough. I didn't have the money to get a plumber.
I told my Mom about it, she has a slow draining sink. My step dad passed a while ago, so she is alone. You are going to have an army of single ladies following you!!! Thank you again, you helped me so much!! I did have to do all the steps, but it WORKED!!!
Awesome!!! What did it for you? Did you have to repeat it a couple times?
💪💪💪
Plunger solved the problem! You’re the man for including it.
Awesome thanks for sharing your success. Please consider subscribing if you haven’t done so I got some more good videos with helpful tips coming soon!
Exactly! Some other videos talked about baking soda and vinegar but excluded the plunger. That's what can push out the last remaining morsels of gunk.
didn't work on first try but i'm seeing that a lot of folks did it multiple times. hopefully we'll get 'er cleared.
Let me know, but if it doesn’t work, you probably have a serious clog that needs to be snaked unfortunately
@CRACKERJACKSDIY i had to go to town on it with a plunger. But it's cleared! Thanks!
@jdion79 Awesome!!! Thanks for updating 😄
Thank you Crackerjacks, I followed your directions to the tee and I'm happy to say: "it worked". I used a small snake in the end and wasn't sure it would be long enough. Now I don't have to call a plumber! I hope your day will be as happy as you've made mine!
Awesomeness!!!💪💪💪 Thank you for sharing your success. 😄
Crossing my fingers right now!! My husband called me when I was at work to tell me that our sink was clogged. Wish me luck!!
You got this!!! Let me know please!🙏 🤞
This is good. I have a double sink. You would be surprised at the different versions of this. I saw hot water first, wait 20 mins....I did it your way and it worked instantly. I subscribed. Thx.
Perfect thank you for the sub and sharing your success💪💪💪!
Can you do this after using liquid Plummer?
I’m not sure. I know others have attempted it and I’m don’t know the results. Be very careful. Google research maybe even AI???
Thank you kind sir! Worked like a charm 🙏🏻👍🏻🫡
😁thank you for sharing your success!!! 💪
Worked on the first try!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Your welcome!!! Thank you for sharing your success!💪💪💪
Good
Success?
I dumped rice down my garage disposal. Sos
Oh noooo!!!
You might need to take apart the P trap, hopefully it’s there and not further
Thank you kind sir. This worked perfectly and even gave it a shot in our bathroom sink that had been a bit clogged along with a cheap plastic snake from Lowes and that is draining perfectly now as well.
Excellent!!! Thanks for sharing!
@ No, no…Thank YOU!!!
Yesterday I clogged my kitchen sink with green bean snippets and potato peelings. Tried the plunger then liquid plumber then drano and it helped a little but drains not running perfectly this morning. Watched this and am going to try this now. So I don't need to treat both sides? Just the side with the garbage disposal?
I actually treat the side opposite of the garbage disposal because I’m not sure the garbage disposal is a mechanical appliance with seals. It should work just fine doing it on the opposite side only it has for me at least. Good luck and let me know how it goes, please!
@@CRACKERJACKSDIY ok thanks - I am treating opposite side now....will report back!
Good luck!!!🍀
@@CRACKERJACKSDIY ok I did treat both sides twice. Hot water then baking soda--waited 30 minutes--then added warm vinegar--waited another 30 minutes --poured more hot water--then did plunger and it seems like it worked! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
@shelleycharlesworth5177 AWESOME! You did it!💪💪💪 Glad you didn’t give up! Thanks for sharing your success!
You just saved Thanksgiving at my house for me and my kids...My kitchen sink was clogged on both sides and maintenance wouldn't be able to come out because it wasn't considered an emergency...I stumbled across your video and followed all your steps and it worked...even Drano didn't get the job done...Thank you sir and God bless you for saving everybody $$$ 😊
You’re welcome! Thank you for sharing your story and success! 💪 💪💪 enjoy your family time there is nothing more important
Thank you!! I did exactly what you said and it did work!!
Nice! 👏👏👏💪💪💪
If you haven’t done so yet, please consider subscribing. I have more helpful videos coming soon!
Can you use this method on the side that has the garbage disposal?
I’m not sure usually the clog is after both drains meet. Is there a reason why you want to attempt it from that side?
Ugh I already used the drano lol and that didn’t work at all 😒 I’m on my first box of baking soda
You got this make sure you’re wearing safety glasses and don’t breathe any fumes in!!! 💪💪💪
I tried plunging, drano, hot water only, removing the pee trap to remove any debris and the sink was still clogged. So I figure the pipes were clogged further along. So I tried your method by placing the baking soda, then vinegar, then waited five mins to pour hot boiling water on the drain that was not the garburator side. When I waited 30 mins, it was still clogged. I was thinking omg, I might have to call the plumber. I went away for 20 mins to take a shower and when I came back, the drain was unclogged just like that! Wow, thank you for the advice! You saved me the cost of a plumber.
That’s so awesome! Thanks for sharing!!! 💪💪💪
Thanks man helped a lot 🙂🙂

It worked!!!! Thank you.
