The best thing I can say about Lorcana is that a few meta stables that need to be included in the decks like pete, let the storm rage, fire the canons (for steel) are dirt cheap and anything else is a deck based question. + for people with only little money to spend and wanna compete I will always recommend playing on a rogue level, this gives one a chance to win but one won‘t need to overspend and at least for me, it‘s the most fun playing at a rogue level.

it's good to see you again man! the loss of pixelborn is truly awful for content creation and a real digital client can't come soon enough (I agree with you that I'm worried one might not be coming anytime soon) that said, if you happen to be movibg within new england, there's a really good facebook/discord that local stores use to post about their events, that can help yoy figure out where you can play!

Aren't you supposed to shuffle after altering? Choose alter cards. Put alters on bottom of deck, draw up, shuffle?

Appriciate the effort, it is much harder to follow the games without knowing your hand. But again we get the best we can and ask for something better :) Hope an official client will come in 2025.

When you play a character and it’s “wet”- you pay to move it to a location, is it now considered “dry”? Or does it still have to wait until next turn to be exerted?

I dunno about an online client but I have felt since The First Chapter that a Switch game would be cool. Yugioh has a few really good DS games, being the name of a year from 2007-2011. (imo 2008 is the best one but I do like the turbo duels of the 5Ds ones.) Would be awesome for Disney to do something like that with Lorcana,.

For the long run of Lorcana this makes sense. While Pixelborn did allow Lorcana to stay afloat during a product shortage, it wasn’t asked from them. As a matter of fact, I’d assume the only reason it was allowed to stay around for so long was because of that.

In the last game you shouldn't have dumped all of your develop your brains from your opening hand you should have kept at least one to search

Just in my experience with Lorcana, my first TCG I’ve played, I lost by exactly 4 lore to this one player who had all the meta relevant cards when if I had the $120 to get 4 Belle cards, I would’ve gotten the win on those times. It’s just flatly that better cards means the right tools to have when you need them. You aren’t even playing the same game if you don’t have the right tools

How is this a question? Yes, they are. Do you pay for a better card? Yes, are expensive cards better? Yes Why do you need 19 min to say if you pay more your deck is better and yes skill is a factor but compared to the price it is not the biggest factor into wether you win or not because between 2 equally skilled players if one has a 15 dollar deck and the other a 150 dollar deck you know the results without needing to see the match

TCG's are absolutely pay to win. Obviously, skill will be involved to an extent, but certain cards will become meta. Thus driving the price of that card up. So unless the company that makes the TCG provides products like theme decks that have staple cards, people will essentially be priced out of competitive play.

Skill is a factor of course. But if you don't have the money to build the deck then you are not even a part of the conversation when it comes to playing competitive. I can speak only for Yu-Gi-Oh! and some cards are really expensive. You can't build the best version of your deck without paying that price. It is pay to win for sure. Skill comes into effect only after the price

Definitely don’t agree with your take on A whole new world. It has trade offs plus for some decks it’s one of the only ways to get some of those problems out of the way. It is a staple for steel and for colors outside of amethyst and blue there isn’t much draw power

Opponent fumbled that last game pretty hard. I can see missing it once, but losing 6 lore in a deck built around that combo. Well, hopefully at least they're learning how to play it through all that.
