I've been saving this playlist for binge watching during my Christmas break. :)
i have enjoyed your videos. io have learned many things. but after the things i have seen in this video, i think u r bored and r doing stupid things just to entertain your self. . sorry., but i don't think your groupies will tell u this. good luck but i am unsubscribed.
The room was airtight with the O2 generator in the floor, you told yourself no before it before it went from low to high convincing yourself it wasn't. Something I'd imagine the human psyche would really have to contend with being isolated in space.
"mistakes were made" 🥴
@@futurewellington6012 There are no mistakes, only happy accidents.
Want to see a scrapyard speed run
From where to where and/or what goal
@futurewellington6012 random start to a jump drive in space as once you have it.
@@lukehart2420 There aren't any jump drives in scrapyard that I'm aware of. I'm certainly keen on more speed runs, I don't think scrapyard is the answer though.
@futurewellington6012 jump drives in space?
@@lukehart2420 I never found any
So my conclusion as far as i watched ! The reason your drone (in the episode) ended up under the landing pad was *Collision On*, you Must switch collision to off long before you get near a grid as collision detection is a very large area (maybe 20-30 large grid clocks). The AI blocks have 'broken down' the functions of the remote into multiple blocks so you need to retrain your brain and think more 'out of the box'. For example: if you want the drone to fly vertically 'Up' place a move controller with the front facing up so the drone *thinks* it's flying forwards. You cannot change the move controller being used *during* a task but you can change it's attributes for ex. *Collision On/Off* etc Use a *Basic Task* for travelling long distances and have a *Recorder* to do the docking at each end. Whenever you need to re0rientate *up/down/left/right* direction simply switch to another task controller. I do find it strange that the Remote Control and the Move controller are mutually exclusive, you'd think the Remote *should/could* be used in place of the Move or along side of it ! For the Ice Mine, one wind turbine and one event controller will ensure it doesn't de-spawn. Simply switch off the drills/pistons/rotor when the base connector is not connected.
Was collision on? I thought I had it off, the drone was never going to collide with anything if it stayed it course, I never needed it. The get what you are saying about the move block direction, but the one move block I had was broken, it wasn't consistently pointing forward anyway, it would always reverse over to the first waypoint, strange behavior. Remembering the remotes were my second prolonged attempt after giving up on the AI blocks. Anyways, PAM seems to work well, I can't see me going back. The ice mine de-spawning was a concern, but I don't think it will happen. It's a static grid and has over 20 blocks, both are criteria not to clean up. I did it that way because of the build restrictions, no batteries and didn't have any spares to merge on. I could have put a small grid one on the drill, but felt that was outside the bounds of the restrictions intent.
would they have attacked you if u would not have attacked them first? .they were neutral right?
Your calm pace and the length of this episode has been with me for lots of short naps! Leaving a comment because today I will finish it. See you in the comments section of the next one!
Thanks Marc
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍 Watched and Liked 👍
❤ ur 👀 & 👍
r u serious? that exhaust reminds me of the Reavers faulty reactors in Firefly. only someone with the mentality of a 14 to 18 year old would maybe like it. this doesnt seem like u.. maybe u need a break and come up with some good ideas
LOL, no I wasn't being serious, that's why it ended up the way it did 🥴 There was some chat influence, and maybe the tale wagged the dog rather than the other way around. It was only ever intended as just a bit of fun this stream and not to be taken seriously. I think the flying wing is something I might try (a serious build), make it big, use small grid, use some of the new blocks.
i like your videos. i like 99% of your ideas of builds and the actual builds. i like the newest ship as a flying wing type. BUT , that top thing is stupid looking. u can do better. just an old retired mechanical engineers opinion. keep trying
Maybe add in MES or EEM core mods to increase encounters
Yeah, I might have to.
@@futurewellington6012 nice idea
A month late but from what I recall last time I played with the water mod the tanks have more buoyancy the more you fill them. Also, for a floating barge or dock several sections of hinges and walkways play nicer than just one as they balance each other out over a greater distance. One link does more or less what you have experienced where it will push down and sink one end.
It was certainly a learning thing the water mod. Not sure if I'll use it again, it might be a nice challenge to do some submarine stuff and underseas base, but the pressurized compartments still being flooded was a bit of a turnoff for me.
@@futurewellington6012 I'll save you the headache. Weapons don't fire underwater. I had a nice sub built; rocket pod torpedos were useless. My world eventually corrupted not long after I started adding the AI blocks to my ships. I guess a carrier group was too much for it.
really great ship i love the way it is set up great job
hei warum fängt deine playlist mit dem video nummer 3 an?
Because TH-cam has a new ordering feature I didn't know about. It defaulted newest first. I have change the order now. Thanks for letting me know.
Neat design
very nice, I like how you made the survival version with the temporary pistons. I always had a problem to find a way to integrate a subgrid using rotors in a BP.. Also did Keen fix the way they calculate subgrids for the dampeners to work correctly or did you do something special so that it would not constantly lower itself in gravity?
Hi Slab. It was a couple of updates ago, they improved the physics, anything locked to the grid is considered part of the grid, whether it landing gear, connector or sub-grid. I think just to one level, a sub-grid of a sub-grid still causes drift, Also drop a single ingot on top and it sinks. Making sub-grids printable makes for an interesting engineering challenge by itself.
That's a very nice looking ship. Would be interesting to see how well it would convert to hydrogen
I think a conversion would be tricky, but not impossible. A ground up re-engineering using the iKea as inspiration would be the way, although lack of gravity makes staying level not so important.
Great design, especially love the use of the inset connectors as decoration. I am midly disappointed that it doesn't come in a flatpack though xD
'some' assembly required, more than most blueprints. Never mind the Factorum, those new connectors are great!
very nice. i will br trying it out. thanks
👍
I haven't played SE in 3 years. I love the looks of this. My concern is ,IIRC, the ore ejector placement as as the ore used to be able to cause damage especially in tight places. Also subgrids used to make ships slightly drift. You didn't seem to have that problem. Was it patched?
Hi DW. Ore doesn't seem to damage anymore, well not ships anyway, my clone on the other hand has been pushed into a hole on more than one occasion. The physics for that slow drift has been improved greatly. Anything locked to the grid is considered part of the grid, whether it landing gear, connector or sub-grid. I think just to one level, a sub-grid of a sub-grid still causes drift.
Could be the best miner build ever. Watched and Liked 👍
That's a bold statement, I like this one, but there's also a lot of other great miners out there. ❤ ur 👀 & 👍

Loving the Ikea. Great build man, good job. High fives. 😀
Thanks Cosmic, just published blueprint in the last hour.
awesome stuff sir wellington Sid not know you could do that with rotors in your hot bar wow learn something new every day , be awesome man
It came through on the contact update, they made lots of great additions too the hot bar functions. Not trying to be sarcastic, has it released on xbox yet?
@@futurewellington6012 your fine yeah we got it about three weeks later but we got it , have not tested my luck yet with the space encounter yet , but really liking the planatery encounters so far
Many thanks for the tutorial! Not sure I'd have dared try without it, but once I saw how easy it was I dived right in. I've been saying for ages that I would like to be able to change block groups - now I can!
Great to hear it is useful
good journey!
Howdy, I love your videos and have a question. What is the appeal of no jetpack other then it makes everything harder? My question is not intended to be a negative question, I am curious if there is another aspect I don't see to not having a jetpack. Thank you for your work and I look forward to more.
Hi Warlord. Sometimes I just get a bit lazy with the jetpack, not having it means you have to plan things a bit more and think through what you are doing. It's definitely not an every series thing for me, but thought I'd do it for a while here, will probably switch it back on later when it becomes annoyance rather than a challenge.
@futurewellington6012 well done sir
FYI you can change skins with shift [ ]s
I did eventually remember, out of practice
Lost WiFi back to watch the rest. That "Tilt Miner" grow some , great new look to be sure. Watched and Liked 👍
Thanks Will, I hope it works.

awesome stuff sir wellington , and by the way shipright mentioned you in his last video also has he started using you mod , or Ryoden as you called him ,

Just being realistic, do you know how hard it is to make a gravity comp.
Somebody probably can make web app for that ;-)
LOL, someone probably at ready has. I recall, fallout, someone setup a interface on their phone and 3d printed a pipboy so they could fully immerse in the game.
Thank you, friend!! I've been anxiously waiting for your video since yesterday! You saved our lives and made our game easier!! Greetings from your friend here in Brazil! Hugs!
obrigado DJ, your too kind
@@futurewellington6012 Hello friend, sorry for being so bold, but I just sent you a help email.
So i have a Q. What is Lyrinthea?
very cold and light on resources...
Great work Wellington! It's never easy to showcase technical systems and how they corelate with each other. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with the community!
Hopefully it made sense, was quite a quick and dirty video to make
awesome qol! fidgeting around with toolbars and scrolling through blocks gotta take at least 50% of my time while building, this might be a life saver on the suggestion side of things, why not duplicate prototech blocks with their standard variants' groups? sould be nice to plan upgrades while designing ships
It's been suggested and I think it is a good idea, but I decided it didn't suit me for my intended play style and therefore I left it as is. There's a new video linked at the end of this one that explains how I made the mod showing players how to edit and adapt their own version, so there's nothing stopping you doing it or someone else re-uploading with changes.
thanks for that congrats on this being so popular your amazing modder now to watch factorium 3 lol
Great stuff, Wellington6020. Thanks for sharing your work!
I tried it a few hours in my game and it gwork so good. You should be careful about adding moded blocks in it (unless you integrate that mod inside your own). because I am unsure how it will react if you do not add that mod in the mod list of the session (ex the weld pads you mentioned) it might do nothing and not have the weld pads, or make an error and not install the menu or the worst case, crash the session
I hope it will do nothing if the mod isn't installed, but we'll see how it goes.
Is there any way to check what's installed? Or like nbt tags to see what a block does@@futurewellington6012
A quick way to the Space Engineers folder for finding the local mods folder is to use "%AppData%\SpaceEngineers\" (minus the quotes), just put that straight into explorer or the run box and it'll take you straight to the folder, no matter the user name.
Follow up video on how to edit and create your own version of this mod linked at the end of this video or here: th-cam.com/video/Kq64I1C4GmQ/w-d-xo.html. SE Plugin Loader by Viktor github.com/sepluginloader/PluginHub/pull/341
maybe you should go get a job at KEEN and help them do there organizing of vanilla things and what should of been vanilla in first place thanks for helping the community out to find things great job definately using this
They're a smart bunch, I'm sure they don't need my help.
Good job! But it would be even better if you could develop a way for us to make these groups ourselves, according to our needs. Would it be possible for you to do that?
Watch this space, making a how to video today
@@futurewellington6012 I'm looking forward to it
Does the range mod give NPCs more range or your turrets more range?
Just turrets that the player sets range. I have my own Mod for this now, steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3347172590, there is a link in the description to another creators mod that will adjust NPCs as well.
you are my hero. Thank you so much
