Always good to consider the fish, thanks for your question! Using artificials I have never had issues with gut hooking like you get with live bait bobber fishing sometimes since you feel the bite right away. Smaller lighter wire hooks are also less damaging to the fish. If you are still not convinced my way is the best it's ok, everyone has their own style and you do what lets you sleep good at night.

I noticed cicadas getting blown up on as they were falling in the water due to car traffic on the bridge. Topwater always gets a chance eventually but seeing that made me rotate it in quicker.

Thanks for your support! If you have bluegill spawning fishing around the beds can be great! When I can't get bit I fish the extremes. Upsize or downsize your presentation, try really loud bright colors or very natural translucent ones, and last try going very fast or ultra slow with your presentation. Good luck!

Yes, it was loaded last month! Have not tried it since, but seeing a lot on stumps looking for early ledge bass.

Got a couple videos on it! Some fish are spawning, but still mostly prespawn patterns have been best. Jerkbait, flatside crankbait, and a senko have been my best producers.

@LoadtheBoatwithZach I fish alot behind Guntersville dam in a little 14 foot john boat with stick steering by myself or in the lake alot in my Vexus. I hate trying to put the Vexus in behind the dam with that current and rough water, ramp by myself. My john boat is so nice for just me. I sometimes catch over 100 white bass a day by myself fishing there.

Right time of the year to get a big one doing that!

Thanks! I linked some lures in the description and will go further in depth on my next ledge video. Deep cranks, spoons, jigs (rubber and hair), and shaky heads are good lures. Ledge bite on guntersville is not hot yet. Right now I would start looking in and out in front of spawning areas that I coincidentally have a video on as well!
