I have a question to ask? I was involved in a terrible car accident on the 5th of September, 2021. I’ve had surgery on my pelvis, middle and upper spine, neck and brain. I’m still able to function regularly I just have bad arthritis. I’ve been trying to get in shape but I don’t know the proper way of getting in shape. I’m 5’0”, 113.4lbs female. What shall I start first
So sorry to hear about your accident. Wow, that is a lot to overcome. Thanks for taking the time to watch our videos. We always tell people to make sure they are cleared by their Dr's and Physical Therapists first and work within the guidelines they recommend. Walking is a good option and increase your time daily within your capabilities. Are you in the Albany Ny area?

I love it how they always demonstrate with the smallest person with zero resistance. I'm not saying this guy is a fraud, but that ain't working on an opponent with bad intent
Thanks for your comment! It's true that demonstrations often show the technique in ideal conditions. In a real-life situation, it's important to adapt and be prepared for any level of resistance. Which we also drill within safety parameters. Just like LIVE GRAPPLING I have seen both Big & Small Dudes pull off some amazing stuff. 👊
And now try this against resisting opponent.
We do that all the time, it's how you check techniques for practical application. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@518EMPIREWell, if you tried that against fully resisting opponent who squeezes your head without disconnecting his hands, then you would not be able to pull your head out of the lock. But in your demo you have done it, which means your opponent was not even trying...
There are 2nd and 3rd order effects and follow ups. Teaching Review segment, many grappling systems techniques against headlocks are open to debate. Thats what makes training great@@adamturowski3765

No one will address this. How do you defend yourself against someone who is high on drugs. They are super strong ,crazy, and feel no pain. My guess is no one will touch this question. The best thing to do is stay out of conflict. Run from a fight if you can. A person high on drugs will make short work of you.
Great point and we do address it daily in classes. Sadly most Self Defense is an ambush where you aren't aware of the danger. Avoidance, Deescalation and awareness are critical aspects of all our self defense training. 👍
Be sweating within the 1st 5 mins of class, loved all the training back in the day when it was Beach Kenpo. 💪🏻

Martial arts in general are all too stylized. This is why people that do them struggle to fight proper fighters.
Interesting and styles can make a fight in sport MMA as well
I studied Kajukenbo under Sid Lopez in Newberg Oregon, a long time ago.
That's awesome! Kajukenbo is such a unique and powerful martial art. It's great to hear that you had the opportunity to study it with Sid Lopez.
You mean Krav Maga?
Krav is a good system but in my opinion KAJUKENBO far surpasses it in effectiveness for Reality Based Self Defense training. We teach both programs at our facility.
Why not just do mma and Kempo?
Great question Travis, SPORT MMA is designed with rules weight classes, cooperative partners. KEMPO is a fantastic system depending on its application. The KAJUKENBO we teach is just for Self Defense and uses Kenpo as its base with many other elements to make it practical for everyone.
