Let's take a 28-minute deep dive into Jim Henson's 1986 classic, Labyrinth, to see what it teaches us about Player Agency, Random Encounters, and Illusion of Choice. How much did the poster plastic overlap the frame of the TV? I am making a table, but worried about spilled beverages.
There isn't much overlap. If I were to do it again, I'd consider actually having the plastic extend past the cutout section of the table and use small nails to secure it to the table frame, so it acts more as a guard between the TV and spills. This would "lock in" the TV making it harder to remove, but would also be much more spillproof.
@@DoubleCritFail This is a great idea. I was thinking about wrapping it around the TV, but this makes more sense.
Are the measurements in inches or in cm please ?
Inches.
Over a year later and Hasbro is still trying to screw their core player base and, if the sales data for the new core rulebook is to be believed, is still getting screwed themselves.
The Cheems at the end. Nice touch.
when the bard gets hit by random space debris...
I look at it like this….. you now have 2 phb’s….. missing content from the new one is in the old one…. The info is unchanged so why reprint it in the new one ? This way, the old one remains relevant.
tbf - I play bard sometimes, and the other players make the jokes about the horny bard... except I'm ace, and that always seeps into my characters, no matter what, so I'm the most un-horny bard there is. To the extent that the dm will bring in npcs expecting the bard to be horny, and I'm like, "No thanks, try the paladin instead"
You are a breath of fresh air when it come to DND comedy/memes keep it up man
Thank you, that means a lot!
And it’s extremely boring too. Bards can be so cool but people just lazer focus on the horny and nothing else.
You missed the chance to say naughty instead of bad
I did in one take but watching it back I died of cringe.

yep. That is why several of the gm's I've had, including myself, have banned the bard class.
Oh man, you must've had some very bad experiences...
FOR REAL the trope isn’t funny its ONLY funny when the person playing said trope is funny. Its like slashers do gore for gores sake without any real reason or motive
It's funny the first time. But then it happens again, and again, and again...
My first Paladin/Bard combo flirted as part of his PTSD. Ended up seducing a Bronze Dragon. Next game I played the half dragon child of the two. Another Paladin/Bard, but this one was so embarrassed by his dad's behavior that he was always too embarrassed to flirt with anyone.
To be fair, a lot of the times players hate this stuff too
We've all had one at the table at least once...
🥳🫂👍🏿 Keep it up ❤
"That's what she said." - Some Bard, probably.
🥳🫂👍🏿 But, could you give me a cool magic item too?
If only I had a magic item that could cast revivify on the TH-cam algorithm...
@@DoubleCritFail I’m sorry, brother - I will see what I can do to help

She was clearly playing a fighter. Bards don't have the proficiency for plate mail
Jokes aside, Chris Pine's character is one of the GOATs. 🐐 Likewise, Girl Bards, Guy Bards, and NB Bards alike are all awesome, and you are all welcome at my table. Subscribe for more. th-cam.com/users/doublecritfail

Is it sad that I know exactly what this means? 😂 💕🐴♣️
@@DoubleCritFail not at all 😄
This is fantastic! Exactly the inspiration I needed for my upcoming Halloween maze one-shot. I wish this had more views!
Thank you so much for the kind words, and I'm glad you found inspiration! Good luck on your 🎃 one-shot!
i was doing a first person shooter based campaign and im a rookie dm, so my idiot mind allowed one of my players to attach 18 shotguns to a pipe and fire them all at once
Oh s#!%.
Another one I despise, Writing themselves to be direct relatives to all powerful gods, devils, and anything in between without checking beforehand, and main character syndrome in general
My favorite is when they've slain multiple ancient dragons in their backstory but their character is Level 1.
I did a one shot murder mystery on a Train called the Arcane Serpent and I asked my players to put something into their Investigation and or perception not the issue here, it went into the evening and some of the NPCs went to bed and I had some just milling around in the dining area and i was just moving them around for emersion one player decided to climb outside the train using spider climb and got arrested and one was working along side the NPC cops on board who where to work with them off the train later but 2 of the players started watching the moving NPCs looking for suspicious behaviour during this time the murder happened but a few of my moving Guys went off map and a Gun shot went off at the opposite end of the train and they still wanted to question those NPCs and not the obvious other killers at the other end 1st class suits as it was linked to the bbeg at the end of the game it all fell into place lets say they felt silly overthinking the movements of the other NPCs
PC: "Where were you when the murder occured?!" NPC: "....With you, remember?"
for every DM who says something like this is are two DMs who've killed a player with a trapped door, or had the door be a mimic, or have the door be cursed.
Well it's not our fault, the DM are making it hard to trust things
I mean... You're not wrong.
Dms create those trust issues with random traps and mimics xD
Dude unless it's a special trap, mage hand ✋
My DM is the one who over complicates things. (but one of the players has a tendency to scream random shit which makes the fight start because my DM wants us to fight all the time so we barley do anything else than fight)
Your mages and sorcerers dont start with fireball? Colour me jealous 😂
This is just funny
You are the dm .. put a stop that garbage
If it’s important enough to mention, it must important enough to do me harm. Things players hate that DMs do:
See, you can get annoyed but when the DM carefully creates a plot twist where the guy I stood up for, trained, and took care of... decided to BEAT MY ASS WHEN WE WERE ALONE IN THE WOODS... All because (plot twist) its actually the doppelganger that had gotten away from us almost a year ago (Out of game, actual play time.) It had been following us and trying to get closer. The random "Does a 24 hit?" while you're trying to have wine with your buddies in the woods... that does something to you. I can't trust him when he's in his DM seat.
*makes next door a mimic, keeping the players paranoid.*
Me.
"Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you."

At that point just make the door traped
This is actually really solid advice! PC: "Is the door trapped?" DM to Self: *It is now...*
Are you #TeamDM or #TeamWizard?
I have never been in a Dnd. Don't divide the dm and the wizard. Make him the "oh he the crazy wiz" And every once in a while "This box has to be a trap with rats with explosive stones" and then if he rolls high he's at least partially right. He not crazy any more.
🥳🫂👍🏿
That first camera move on the wizard with the tympani sound grabbed me
🎉🎲🧙♂️
"Well you never find his weakness" and hence when they fight him it is impossible to win
Yeah, the easy way around this is just to make some of your n p c's level twenty. 😂
Nat 20 means nothing when when you cant hit it 😭
One of my players kept causing issues that was derailing the campaign and making the sessions unfun for everyone else as they had to deal with the consequences as well, so while the player's character was sleeping I had him get arrested by guards. He failed his checks and got hauled off, had a trial, and then got crucified. Instead of letting him make a new character then and there I told him he had to wait for his character to pass away. He got to sit in on the sessions and do nothing for 3 whole sessions. Him doing what he wanted regardless of how it impacted everyone else at the table resulted in him getting basically put in time out and having to watch everyone else have fun and get cool rewards. That's one of the worst punishments a player can go through.
why would you play with that person?
A lot of toxic player behaviours come down to policing your table. Some players have the mindset of constantly trying to be disruptive by acting as though they are without consequence. Even if only temporary, it's best for both the table AND that player to boot them from the game. Save the game for the other players now. Rehabilitate the problem player OUTSIDE of the game.
