I listen to this all the time honestly… thank you for this, god bless you.
Peace be with you brothers and sisters! I am just wondering where I can find a studio record of this masterpiece. Greetings from Canada!
There is a cd called bless the Lord Oh my Soul from st tikhons mission choir. It's the Valaam version. If you manage to get it on mp3 please let me know, I've been searching for a long time now.
There used to be a CD with a recording of the monks singing this. I believe it was simply called Orthodox Liturgical Hymns, however, i doubt there are many more copies in circulation.
Hmmmm if I didn’t know any better I would guess this was filmed during the Quarantine of 2020... empty churches except for the choir and priest’s families... Kyrie Eleison! Christos anesti!

The Psalm 33 setting is truly beautiful. I’ve searched for a rendition of this on its own, it would be fantastic to see/hear a higher quality audio version of it..

First time I have heard the Kontakion of my patron Saint. Thanks!
Wow. That's pretty good. Better than I remembered.
Jeremy Boor I love the few things I’ve heard that you set. Did you also set the Our Father that was in From the Little Mountain? Do you still do any music of this sort?
AMIN!
Do you know the composer of this "Praise the name of the Lord" ?

difficult to determine, because this bell is having an ``own life`` of tonal intervals
Why aren't others flocking to this? Why doesn't this have a million views? Why doesn't every brand new catechumen who hears this look it up, wanting to hear it and hear it and hear it? Is it just me? Am I weird? Or are there just not that many new catetchumens? The beauty of this floors me. Maybe I'm the weird one. That's ok, being weird is
See ya tomorrow!

When something is in the "Holy Cross Hermitage setting," which monk sets it? And who is Archimandrite Matthew? Is he a monk from Holy Trinity or something?
I set it. That was a long time ago now.
Thank you for the post.
This is my favorite Orthodox Church outside Russia. I wish I were close by and could attend here regularly. Lovely...

Valaam melody using Georgian harmonizing techniques. I never would have thought to do that, but it sounds gorgeous. They didnt sing this when I was there :-(
...and what?
nice to see Dear Fr. Kappanadze remembered !
@arenonearer - Yes, the melody is indeed the Valaam melody. The harmony is based on Georgian harmony, but it is not an authentic Georgian harmony for this hymn. The Georgian influence really comes through at the end.
Good call.
I didn't know about this Hermitage (monastery) Praise YHWH, Alleluia! Thank you for posting this beatiful and inspiring video.

Ochen krasivo!!!
народ, относитесь проще. Для вас тупняк а люди из других стран с удовольствие посмотрят. Я тоже просматриваю кучу подобных видео про другие страны. Интересно ведь
и?...
The melody (top voice) is the Valaam Chant of Psalm 103. The rest of the harmony is a composition based on Georgian chant.
