Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much ! Great review and you provide good info!
Thanks for watching! Hope it was helpful!
Just returned yesterday from the Barcelo Riviera. While there, our group visited Xenses and Xplor. I watched your video reviews prior to the excursions and your videos were of great help and provided much insight! Thanks for your great work!
Great video!! Thanks!!! We are going to do this next month!!!
Thanks for watching! Hope you have a great time!
I’m so dizzy after watching this video . Useful information, thanks for that
Are all these included when staying at Xcaret Mexico?
Yes
Is Travelista a real word?
Can you tell about best hotel near of them?
The Xcaret Hotels - free entry to all the parks is included in your stay. I’ve got some review videos on my channel
Are spa treatments or massages included?
No they cost extra
If Arte is an Adults only resort, then how come they have Adult only buildings in the reservations type?
I think because they allow young adults (16+)
Xel-ha is lots of fun. We were there last week
Very Useful, thank you
Thanks for watching!
Upgrade to premium level so you can get free room service and way better food, whenever you want! Do it it’s worth it. Trust me.
Do you have a better spot in cancun/tulum for the same price point? Thanks for your help and video!
What are you looking for exactly?
@@vivalatravelista Hey thanks for the reply! Looking for a luxury (clean/friendly) stay with really good food options. Would prefer something with a decent beach.
Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancún is luxury with a really gorgeous beach
Is there a casino nearby?
There are a few casinos in Playa del Carmen but they are pretty small compared to traditional casinos
Do they offer transportation from the cruise port?
No just from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Riviera Maya
Xel-Ha seems boring compared to Xcaret and Xplor. I’d like to check it out though, as well as Xavage if I can hang. I didn’t like Xoxomilco as much as I thought I would. My bf and I used their transportation once and thought it was really slow and inefficient. They have a newish sailing tour to Isla Mujeres now. I stayed in Hotel Xcaret for a few days when the rooms were offered at a discount, and I honestly didn’t love it, especially the food and amenities for such an expensive resort.
XAVAGE has been closed, it was not that popular among tourists. 🤧
my mom works there online and i went there a few times because we get it for free because my mom works for it! its soooo fun i love it totally recommend for sure💗🫶🏻
Take a drink everytime she says hotel xcaret 😂
Awesome video very helpful. Probably one of the best videos out there on the topic. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! 😊
Do you have a breakdown on the duration of each park? In other words, how long does it take to complete each parks? Thank you
Xel-Ha, Xcaret, and Xplor are full day parks. Xenses you could do in a half day. And Xoximilco and Xplor Fuego are nighttime experiences
@ awesome thank you! Xenotes and Xavage are full day as well I am assuming.
@ yes Xenotes is a full day tour. Xavage is temporarily closed but normally is full day
@ you just got a new subscriber. Thank you
I thought the video was very informative. And offered pros and cons. Here is another video link that is for Xcaret Mexico, the resort adjacent to Xcaret Arte which is for adults only th-cam.com/video/w_6LiRLn5XQ/w-d-xo.html I also used ChatGPT to find out some negatives about the 2 resorts and this was my new friends reply… When considering vacationing at Hotel Xcaret Arte or Hotel Xcaret Mexico, here are some potential downsides to keep in mind: Hotel Xcaret Arte Cons: • Rocky Beach: The beach can be rocky, which might limit swimming and beach lounging experiences. • Limited Dining Options: While the restaurants are high-quality, there are fewer choices compared to its sister property. • Adults-Only Restriction: It’s an adults-only resort, making it unsuitable for family vacations with kids . Hotel Xcaret Mexico Cons: • Crowded Restaurants: Popular dining spots can get crowded, leading to wait times. • Rocky Beach: Similar to Xcaret Arte, the beach is rocky and not ideal for lounging or swimming. • Older Property: It opened in 2017, so it’s slightly older than Xcaret Arte, though still well-maintained. • Higher Cost: Prices are generally higher due to its family-friendly amenities and broader restaurant selection . Overall, both resorts offer luxury accommodations and access to Xcaret parks, but choosing the right one depends on your preferences for dining, family-friendly features, and overall resort atmosphere.
So all Resturants are separate fees?
No all the food is included
If you are staying at one of the hotels. What level of admission ticket do you get?
Xcaret Plus for Xcaret Park and Xplor only has 1 ticket type
Great video! I’m in playa right now and booked this park for Friday! I’m a huge snorkel fan and can’t wait! My wife and I will be going with a 6 month old so we will have to switch 😅
Good luck hope you enjoy it!
Brilliant! We plan to do both in May ❤
Hope you have a blast!
Very thorough review! Thank you
Thanks for watching!
are there a lot of older guests there??
It’s a mix but when I went there were a lot of younger couples, honeymooners, and groups of friends
Thank you for this wonderful review!! We are going over Christmas and super excited! Is the mixology class for an additional fee or is it included in the all-inclusive? Thanks!
It’s included!
What about side trips? I take it the valet can arrange trips to Tulum and Playa del Carmen. Are these trips worth the direly inflated prices? Is it safe to hire a driver/guide now, or should we stick to big groups like buses?
Yes I think they are worth visiting if you want to get off the resort. Tulum is a lot more expensive than PDC but has a more bohemian vibe with better beach clubs, etc. You can hire a private guide or do a group tour to the Tulum Ruins or nearby cenotes. Both are typically safe as long as you take basic safety precautions
I’ll be there this Christmas
WE are heading back from the US in a couple of months.
VERY informative video. I'm going next month! My question is what mount/accessory did they allow you to use while on activities like zip lining? I have a hand mount and invisible selfie stick for my insta360 but wondered if they would allow it.
I used a floating hand grip with a wrist strap. Not sure if they would allow a selfie stick but if not you could always leave it in your locker
I used a go pro with a stick attached and they allowed me on the zip lines at xplor. It has to have a wrist strap or hand strap though it can’t be freely held
I've been to the Maya Palace 3 times, and found that the food was great, especially the buffets. Have you been? If so, was the buffet better, or not at the Riviera? Thanks
No I only ate at Maya Riviera
@@vivalatravelista Lol,.....I'm scared to go to any other resort, because I am a picky eater. Even the food at the other resorts in the complex weren't close to the Palace. I'm specifically speaking of the buffets, not the a la cart restaurants
Xel-HA it is! Its also close to the two eyes cenote. This December :)
Yay hope you have the best time! 🤿
I was thinking to book directly and not thru viator, any thoughts?
I like Viator because they have a 24 hour cancellation policy and you can reserve now and pay later. It can also be a bit cheaper with the exchange rate
@ ah ok good points thanks
I'm a 63 year old man in so so shape. I highly encourage you to visit this park. It is a lot of fun. I agree with this video. It is not for small children. There is nothing for them to do. It is best for teens and up. The vehicles are a lot of fun but beware that is is a very bumpy ride and the cars have bad steering, brakes and suspension. It is a long ride, about 3 miles. Let your wife take her own car or much backseat driving will occur! She is downplaying the water slide. That is the funnest ride I have been on in a long time. We went on it twice and I could have ridden that thing all day. The zip lines are also very fun. Be aware that there is a lot of walking in general and a lot of climbing( ramps and stairs) if you go on the zip lines and water slide. We just got back ( NOV , '24) and the park was not busy at all. We have been there before when it was quite busy and there were lines for most activities. We paid $162 per person including transportation. I think the price was $182 if you have 2 people but was discounted for a group of 4.The buffet is pretty good. Also, FYI, the wave pool is not a wave pool. Most of the day it was turned off and when it was turned on, The "waves" were maybe 1' swells that don't break. We have been to other parks in the past and in our opinion, this is the best one. Also , I recommend bringing your own water shoes and a towel. They are a must have. There are locker and showers but don't bring too much stuff as the lockers aren't super big. Just go!
Thank you! Since you went in november, how was the ocean? Was there a lot of seaweed or was it clear water? I went in April and it was hard to swim because there was so much seaweed and the ocean was not nice at all. Is it still like that in November?
@@chrissyb6822 There was very little seaweed. It wasn't a problem at all. We have been to Mexico when it was bad so I know what you experienced. The ocean was very warm, probably 85 degrees but it was a little murky. It was pretty windy when we were there so the fine sand was churned up a little. It was still nice. One disappointment was the snorkeling. There were very few fish in front of our resort and as I said the visibility wasn't very good. We stayed at the Barcelo Maya Riviera which I would recommend. It is a very nice, well kept, newish property and the food was excellent. Of the Barcelo resorts that are all in a row, The Riviera is definitely the best. It is also adults only, which we prefer but even if it wasn't adults only, it is still the nicest Barcelo resort in that area.
The map breakdown was helpful! Staying at Atelier and sadly xplor may be a tinge too far. Don’t want to be in a bus for thaaaat ling
i feel dizzy and sleepy after watching this video for 5 mins.
Best video and most informative I have seen so far. Thank you
Thanks so much for watching!
Does Xcaret Plus Admission includes dinner or do we have to pay extra for the dinner at the night show?
It only includes 1 meal (typically lunch) so you would have to pay for dinner separately at one of the restaurants before the show. Or there is a gourmet dinner experience you can arrange beforehand to have during the show that costs extra. They also have some concession stands open during the show as well
The spa Services, how does it work? I might typically need my hair blown out on my 2nd or 3rd day on vacation and definitely just before i depart. What cost is attached to these services? also massages how are these facilitated? Do i just pay a tip as these services are already covered, or is there an additional cost price?
All spa and salon services cost extra. You can check the spa menu on their website for prices
Thanks for the video, wanna know if I stay at the xcaret Arte if I can have access to the gym at hotel xcaret Mexico? Thank you
If you stay at Hotel Xcaret Arte, you only get access to the restaurants at Hotel Xcaret Mexico if you are staying in Casa de Los Artistas and it is subject to availability
@@vivalatravelista Sorry just looking for clarification, can you walk around the Mexico side if you are staying in Los Artistas? Or can you only go over if you have dinner reservations? We're returning this year and staying at Arte but wanted to go visit the side that made us fall in love with the place!
@@shaunaowens2442 I think it’s only if you have dinner reservations but there isn’t really a strict boundary in between the resorts
My biggest/only issue was the life jacket policy in the gorgeous labyrinth of rivers throughout the hotel as I was constantly being hounded and whistled at by the lifeguards that... are free to recreationally swim without lifejackets. Same jerks that then whistled at us for playing catch too far from each other in a private area in one of the pools. My entire trip was spent getting detention slips from hall patrol. The whole point of going to Mexico is to escape the red tape and enjoy the lack of rules. I mean, you can't sit there and be ok with several inherent risks at the parks they own while laying the law of the land on guests attempting to enjoy a casual swim on a property that has zero ocean access. Good luck even getting within 5 ft of the ocean without more whistles too. Not sure I'd return because this was a daily thing that would piss me off while trying to decompress on vacation.
I didn’t have that issue, they let me swim without lifejackets lol
Doesn't look a lots for young families to do besides swim
XCARET, XEL-HA & XENSES are family friendly, take in count this are eco-touristic parks. IT NOT DISNEYLAND won't be any roller coaster.
The only negative I found when I went was that the day wasn't long enough!!! For add ons we did snuba cenote, manatee encounter, and the sea trek out by the bridge and they were all incredibly cool. We will be going back because we felt like we missed out on a lot of the included things. We did make it down the mangrove river and rode bikes, and found some cool stuff, but there's definitely a lot to see and do!!
Haha agreed there's so much to do!!
Are there alacarte options for breakfast or lunch you can access at the sister properties?
I didn't dine at the other resorts but I think the daytime options are mostly buffets
Who is the best person to book through or company?
I recommend booking on the official Xcaret website. You can check the link in the video description for the latest promotional offers.
United and SW Vacations both have packages
Just come back from all inclusive Bahia Principe. Could use 3 hotels. Riviera Maya It was stunning. Loved Mexico.
Glad you enjoyed it! It's such a beautiful place! 🌴
your cons are not true. Ive been there 12 times in 3 yrs, HXA is absolutely the best!!!
Haha agreed!
its a 5 diamond resort
