They performed this song live for years before we decided to record it. When we did, we added an intro, drum breakdown and then a tempo increase after the breakdown. Not all trading is eight bars, but if you look at the trading starting at :28, you will count 8 bars for each which was the genesis of the original song. @@harmonicalessons I was trying to be sarcastic in a musical sense. Trading 4s can be 8s 16ths what ever note value you wish to call it. Then you can base it on bars as well. I always joke with my jazz quintet that I play with. When my pianist tells, me to take 4 I always joke and say no, I'm taking eight when I know what he meant. But whatever he says it was I always change the number and subdivide to something else to say I wasn't playing what he told, me to. Kids are amazing. Can't wait to see where they take it.
