RZ350 hybrid second start

Early on in the RZ350 project. This is the second start up as I forgot to turn on the camera for the first! Still needs some tuning at this point.

Custom V4 2 stroke RZ500, RD500LC, RZV500R, two stroke Yamaha.
I recently picked up a very nice '74 RD200, which is my first 2-stroke twin. It's so much fun to ride (even better than the '75 H2 I owned in the mid-80s), and the powerband reminds me of my '75 125 Elsinore I bought new back in the day. It's almost shocking how quick and good handling a little bike can be!

I had one of these.One tough bike and easy to work on.I went everywhere with that bike and it took alot of punishment.

It's a RZ , they came naked from the factory
I had one of these and on a good day it would do 90+mph. It weighed next to nothing which helped
My brother had one of these back then he was18 i was 14 when he used to go pub at weekends the miles on the clock used to magically get higher even though he hadn't been on it all weekend 😀 haha

I bought this model brand new in 1974 for $825.00 NZ dollars. Did have a problem with plus oiling up a lot, ended up replacing with hotter plugs.
My dad had one. Same colour too. Loved the sound of that motorcycle. I’ve had a soft spot for RD’s ever since.
I particularly loved the pre-76 models with the more curved tanks and metallic paint. I had one the same colour, but the tank graphics were different. But I loved that little bike. I covered around 18000 miles on it in 3 years, and "Loved" every minute of it. Didn't like the Coffin Tank styling of the DX models though, even though they had a front disc brake. The TLS drum up front was more than adequate for stopping.

Lovely but sounds like it needs a top end rebuild. Also the Charge warning lamp stays on when idling and only goes out when revved, should only flicker slightly at the most.

Me too, it was a Revelation after the SS50 (Super Slug) I had previously.
I owned one of these from 1975 --78 and they were three of the best years in my life. I often dream I still have it.
I got mine in May '75 and had it the same length of time.
