Folks suffering true Complex PTSD & Anxiety Attacks, should take all your meds before watching this to avoid "going postal" inadvertently (thus avoiding potential collateral damage to innocent bystanders).

Isn't it amazing how so many people can be swayed into following, saying and doing things that they know in their hearts is so very wrong - of course many out of fear and that's a fact. Others who have no remorse, conscience, and want power and money will follow like dogs with their masters any master. This was written and acted very well. Instead of celebrating both cultures they denigrated one to use as blackmail - it did the job but at what cost to this German man who was able to be used and influenced so easily. If every American were ordered to see this film, I have to wonder how many of them would actually understand that they have been experiencing the re-emergence of this same group for the last four years. The only difference is the current party has "Neo" in front of the name, is based in a country starting with "U," and hides behind a three-letter acronym that starts with "W."

This film should be added to the historical films of the past. Quite accurate it many ways. We know what happened after the 1930s ended and hopefully won’t be repeated in our times but looks like it may be repeated on the other side of the world
In 1984 I paid 1000 dollars for a 26 inch TV. Right now in 2024 at Walmart a 65 inch TV is 328. dollars This is the same as the cheap radios then. It's so the Governments can mold our minds.
It was a very brave act to make and release this movie in 1940. Zanuck had to know it would lose money (and possibly even reflect badly on his studio) because of its subject matter and the isolationist sentiment during that time. You'll never see such courage from the "global" conglomerate corporations of today who care solely about the bottom line. So much so that they push DEI to receive lower rates on loans and submit scripts to China to ensure a release date in that lucrative market.
