Would a D300s be good?

Great video with lots of info. In 2014 I was at the Waterloo Airshow. I was using a Canon 3Ti with a Sigma 18-250 lens. With that combo I got my best airshow photos ever. I’m now using a Canon 90D with a Sigma 100-400 lens. I am looking forward to shooting the Canadian International Airshow in Toronto with this combo at the end of August.

What's a good ISO setting? I've heard auto

Should I turn my IS off or on and do I use 1 2 or 3 position please.

I just shot the cne airshow using canon 5d mark ii sigma 150-600mm contemporary. Had a hard time with the auto focus . Had it set to manual . Iso low . Shutter 1/320 to 1/500 and ai servo . And ai focus . Tried both . Was a hazy day so .

I really need help on panning desperately. Do you have any tips or do you have a video specifically on aircraft panning? HELP!!!!!

Since you mention panoramas frequently, you can get the ballhead with a pan top plate, similar to the Sirui tripod/head that you showed briefly.

Does it connect to the phone still when the do it all handle is still attached?

The only tip is that if you want to be a professional super star, then you must do air to air. Shooting from the spotter locations or any shot taken on the ground is amateur and very common and you cannot go calling yourself pro unless you do all your shots in the air.

I have the exact same setup though my handle will not do anything to control the pocket 2... not sure why mine doesnt work...

What do you do for prop aircraft when you have a very sunny day and at 1/250 at 100 iso is over exposing? Do you have to use a filter at that point?

I have the 323. It looks to me like the treading on the legs is plastic !? Can you confirm that on the Leofoto tripods ? Probably not an issue as long as you pay attention and keep them clean but was never the less disheartening and I felt like that should have been disclosed in the description.

Thanks for this review. I have an LS-324C and really enjoy it, but was interested in something with a center column that I could invert (i.e. install so it extends towards the ground) for low-angle & macro shots. Do you know if the center column for the LQ-324C be installed this way? Thanks again.

I'm going to a Gathering of Warbirds this Weekend 10/23/21 at Madera,Ca and I'II be using your Settings, I've gone to other Airshows and some of My photos,,, some where Good and other's!! But Thanks for your Tips!! The Weather here as been some rain, I'II see how it goes!!

My backyard opens to (formerly) Mather AFB here in CA. We have front row seats to the Capital Airshow this weekend. I have shot the previous years of airshows here with my trusty D3400 which served me will for many years, but finally upgraded to the D850 this year and so excited to shoot the airshow this year! I also rented a Tamron 150-600 so really excited to see what I can capture! I typically only shoot full manual (mostly just shoot my kids, pets and a few family shoots/events), so really appreciate your tip on switching to auto ISO for this purpose. I will def give that a try. Thankfully due to my proximity I will have several days to shoot the airshow practice and actual show days, so between the 4 full days of planes I'm sure I'll get something. Great video, thanks!!

Hmm I changed my 5d4 for a Sony A9 and I wouldn’t go back, the tracking is superior.
