Yes. SLSA is sulfate free surfactant. There is a big difference between sulfoacetate and sulfate.

This is w/w formulation. Measuring Small amount on scale is hard process so I use syrnge. +- 0.1 gram error.

Every acid has their own thicker, like toilet cleaner thickener. Mostly used acid thickener is Polyacrylic acid (carbomer) I will share more information in next reply

Hardness depends on water content, I'n creams the water percentage is 50-55. And in lotions water contents are between 70 to 75. And in ointments there is no water. If u evaporate water, the cream will become hard. First make the cream base same as in this video. If hard, replace Shea butter with grape seed oil. Grape seed oil is very light with very low viscosity.

All the vacuum dessicators I have seen use grease as a sealant, not any seal.

There was no seal, silicone vacuum grease work as a seal. Mekroark 111 compound.

This is the reason why I upload this video, A lot of care should be taken. Now I recommend pressure cooker to convert it to vacuum desicCator. Now I am using pressure cooker as vacuum desiccator. And work perfectly.

Using a GLASS one is their first mistake. They make a six gallon stainless steel tub with a 3/4" acrylic lid with valves and a gauge for a hundred bucks. I brine a turkey under vac.

Vacuum can't be produce if any scratch or crack in the desiccator.

Basically this is a project about making preservative for cosmetics. Diazolidinyl urea is formaldehyde releaser preservative and the best preservative ever. A famous preservative named Germall plus (and very costly) can be made with lab at very low budget. Daizolidinyl urea is sensitive to heat and moisture so I use vacuum desiccator. Thanks

Don't underestimate the power of reduced pressure. I have experience of vacuum desiccator.

The glass lab vessel is called exicator (I don't know the proper translation in english) it is the special kind of dish used for drying up the compounds in case you don't want it to get contaminated by water from moisture of air or if you want to eliminate the remaining solvent residues from your final compound. In standard exicators there are substances with hydroscopic properties(water absorbing), like calcium chloride. The vacuum pump can be coupled with exicator if you want to speed up the process, shortening the time of drying up duration from 6-72 hours to mere minutes, but as you could see from a video sometimes it can be dangerous. Any pressure differences should be taken seriously regardless if its lower or higher pressure from atmospheric. The only difference between two is in this case it causes to implode(crush) under vacuum, but in cases where system has too much pressure than vessel it can contain (mundane example is express pressure pot or laboratory autoclav), it can explode like a bomb. I probably bored you to death but i hope i clarified you the hazards of working with different pressures than our natural atmospheric.
