I’m a work out guy. I weigh more than the average person. I like a heavy golf club.

I'm off 18, i use blades. Same as hitting any other club. If you hit a GI iron out the toe it feels horrible and loses distance too. Middle is middle no matter what you're using only blades will go much more consistently when you do strike them nicely. Most amateur's mishits aren't face related either imo they are fats, thins, tops and shanks put on the ball by poor swings which are the same no matter the club. People literally laugh at the fact i use blades. When i try to explain that i 3 putt at least 10 holes a round, never find the fairway with my driver and cannot get out of hazards, they still don't care. If i changed literally nothing but my putting and started 2 putting every hole, i would be near single figures and then everyone would say i was good enough to hit blades now even though iron play didn't change at all. It's very silly.

In my case, it's me. I say that with a driver, set of Mizuno Pro 243s and 3 Ping Glide Forged wedges all fitted by you guys! 😂

Great video, in the video you mention his wedge may be non-conforming? Surely that is only for the very highest elite level? 99.9% of golfers don’t realise that applies to the irons as well? Although, that should have come in to play Jan 2024, so I assume the rule will never be enforced?

I cant wait to get fitted. I was talking to the club pro and he enlightened me on the importance of getting fitted. I use regular shafts but swing fast and he said that, thats the first thing i need to get rid of. Also that I need high kick point shafts and not low. So stiff shafts with a high kick point and right now i use reg beginner set with a low kick point LOL. I play very good for a first year player though so its still really fun.

Mark is an amazing fitter and just as great a guy!

My golf game is so backwards. Stronger grip makes me slice. Weaker grip gets me pulling the ball. couldn't hit a draw if you held a gun to my head... I've tried everything to try and draw it, but the ball just wants to go straight mainly or fade... My bad shot is mainly just a big old pull shot, sometimes with a hook thrown in...

I knew it! 😂 I wish i could get a legit fitting for my shaft and lie angle and length. Golf is too expensive and time consuming. Wish there was easier way to do this and more accessible.

Strange request. In the summer I tend to use a cart bag on an electric trolly. But as we move into winter I tend to carry. I also reduced the number of clubs I carry. I would love to hear any thoughts on types of bags available, also thoughts on reducing the amount of clubs.

Was wondering if you’d be able to recommend some things for golfers who experience sciatic pain. I’ve read that weak core muscles can contribute to it, but wondered if there were any other muscle groups to concentrate on. Great to see you back!

Well, this was eye opening. Despite not being the fastest swinger of the club, traditionally lofted irons with heavier shafts work well for me because I pull on the handle. I’m a 5 wood 7 wood guy also. You’re the best in the business Simon. Thanks for the video!

Having had great fittings from Mark in the past, the only surprise was that some clubs in his bag were not Ping! I have never regretted Mark's recommendation of i210s for me - they are not leaving my bag

The fascination of golf is that this guy could probably shoot his handicap with a set borrowed from the pro shop. But he still loves mucking about with shafts lofts grips and decals.
