A good question! Excitingly, research shows that light therapy can penetrate through the skull and reach cortical tissue (Salehpour et al, 2019). Given that it can penetrate bone, hair will not be a problem.

You may be referring to the PDCare, which has been used in Parkinson's trials, and also CE and ARTG listed for a potential reduction in Parkinson's symptoms. SYMBYX currently does not have devices listed for IBD, but we are actively participating in international collaborations that research how light therapy can benefit those with IBD - so more to come in this space!

Not yet, researchers are still working on it. We will share the results as soon as they become available! However, the 5 year follow-up data for another Parkinson's trial in Australia, was recently published in BMC Neurology, suggesting the benefits can be long-lasting. Whilst there are many devices on the market, we prefer not to comment on products and research that aren't out own. With that being said, here are some of the advantages of SYMBYX light therapy. 1. from my limited research, 810nm wavelength is required to treat Parkinson's symptoms. Most of the amazon head caps are either 660nm or 850nm. The wavelength is critical for getting the desired results.

Hi Gerard, thank you for your question. The SYMBYX Neuro helmet focuses on the upper neck and back of the head, rather than the front as you have mentioned. This is because these areas are rich in neural inputs into the brain stem, and is an essential component in the gut-brain axis. I got a red light panel from platinumled for a family member with PD. It is of medical grade quality and is essentially the same thing except in panel form instead of helmet form.

Hi there, thank you for your question and apologies for the delay in response. The SYMBYX Neuro helmet emits both red and infrared light. Our infrared light diodes emit 3 Joules per diode per minute, and our red light diodes emit 0.9 Joules per diode minute. Each session is 24 minutes, 12 for red light and 12 for infrared. Therefore, per session, it is: 20*0.9*12 = 216 Joules of red light 20*3*12 = 720 Joules of infrared light Hope this clarified your question. Best regards.
