I took care of two known troublemakers of the cooling system- the plastic coolant fitting on the top of the cylinder head, and the expansion tank with the bag of silica. I purchased the upgraded aluminum fitting from Amazon, the new expansion tank without the bag of silica from FCPEuro, and the VW G12 Evo coolant from my local VW dealer.

Hola a mi bora se le afloja el tornillo que va en la mitad del hueso .... y yo desarme y la platina negra ya esta despegada del hueso.. ese sera el causante que se afloje y se caiga?
no, eso no debería afectar eso. Honestamente suena como que el tornillo no estaba apretado correctamente por accidente. La otra posibilidad seria que si fue apretado y el tornillo se quebró dentro del hueco (no es común pero lo e visto en otros carros). El tornillo debería ser re-emplazado cada vez que sale x q se estira (de acuerdo a VW). Yo personalmente los e rehusado, pero e asegurado q el hueco y tornillo estén limpios y le agrego Loctite azul a la rosca... PERO eso siempre es un riesgo con tornillos que estiran que se pueda romper cuando lo re-apretas. con eso dicho, yo te recomiendo q lo reemplaces.
Hello, Definitely would go with HF cat down pipe also. Have a 2015 Mustang GT with HF cats. Tried the straight pipe and gas smell was too much. Was concerned for people around me and cab too much to deal with. On another note I have a 2020 BMW X1 and I’m looking to get a little more out of her so I’m also looking to do a HF catted down pipe. I believe I have the B46 engine in there. I’m new to turbo setups I’m used to superchargers. I’ve been looking for a down pipe but there isn’t much for performance parts on my BMW and was wondering if you have time to help me out. I’ve found a few down pipes on line that say they fit my car but would I need a tune so I don’t get a CEL? If so would should I do regarding that? Is it a hard job also on this car? Is it worth it if it is. Can’t find any videos for my car on how to install it.

En my carro asi era. En otros packetes- tal vez con el sistema Fender, tiene tweeters en las puertas de atras. Mi carro no tenia el sistema Fender, solo el woofer abajo. Pero si, el hueco para los tweeters esta alli en el panel

Le falto aceite a ese carro pr que ni cintaste con lo que se llena el filtro de aceite que es como ledio litro mas y no orendiste el carro oara que se llenara antes de revisar bien el nivel.

What code did you have?
Just checked my old screenshots- 120308, - Charging pressure control, plausibility, Pressure too low. I did all the troubleshooting possible prior to arriving at the theory that it was a cracked vacuum canister. I confirmed this when i found all the oil pouring out of the canister when i removed the old valve cover. The code never came back after replacing the VC :)
Does the same problem occur in the N57D30A?
Not that i am aware of. But the Euro FB groups would be best able to answer that. N57 is not very common here in USA
@@turbospool I'm writing because I have a problem and this module does not supply power to the fuel pump, sometimes it is enough to wait a day and suddenly it works.
@ I can tell you where I would look for but thats coming from a place of never working on the N57s, lol… i would test for low pressure fuel pump output and power at the pump’s connector. A failing LPFP gives almost identical symptoms as a failed EKPS. They are a symbiotic relationship-so if one crashes it takes the other with it. This makes it very difficult to diag this on the gasoline-powered platforms. Im not sure if the same rings true with the diesels. Good luck to ya!

Hola bro los faros son de buena calidad ? No se ponen opacos con los años Tube un pequeño accidente y necesito cambiarlos pero los originales salen carísimos 1000 cada uno😢
Pues te cuento q ya llegando a dos años con estos faros, todavia se ven como nuevos. Y nota que unos meses despues de instalarlos le agrege bombillos de xenon (a cual hize un video tambien). Xenon opera a temperaturas mucho mas alta q los bombillos de halogeno… y siguen exelente!

Oh yes! Catless had a point of resonance around high 2000s low 3000s. With the high flow catted downpipe it was almost eliminated.
Hey thanks for doing a clear video. Sucks you didn't pick up on the accessory/ACC wire sooner but good workaround. I'm looking at an MK6 unit. The audio quality with whatever stock unit I have is actually quite good (to me) so I'm mainly in it for the carplay/android auto (for maps/spotify). I like the RCD330 OEM look and available physical buttons but there are just too many negative reviews about audio quality with those. Have you done another video about living with the unit? How do you find controlling things while driving and how is the audio?
Thats partly what turned me away from the RCD330 as well. I noticed many comments about sound quality, especially for Bluetooth calls. I habe not done another video with this Boss unit but not much to report. I DEFINITELY would want buttons if I were to do it again. Just easier to grab knobs than to go for small haptic sensors you know?

Is the pcv valve also aluminum or plastic?
Neither. The valve itself (both in this and the OE valve cover) is a rubber diaphragm. The casing around it in this VC is aluminum while the upper cover is plastic and removable
Hey man, I’m doing these speakers right now. Did you have a hard time with getting the door card back on? Mine is leaving a bit of a gap.
Not at all. Went easy. Make sure the top seal sits DOWN into the lip of the metal door shell BEFORE you start pushing the card forward on to the door shell for the clips to snap in place.
Noticed you have the PWG version of the Turbo listed. Did you mean to link the EWG version?
Nope. I link to a PWG because that’s the turbo I installed, lol. 2011s all were PWG
@ Oh okay! Gotcha. Mines a 2012 535i RWD with stock turbo and wasn’t sure if it had the EWG or the PWG. Only mods I have are -MHD Stage 2 -VRS 7in Intercooler -Electronic exhaust cut outs -Burger Motorsports intake. My turbo started dumping oil into my exhaust and the bearings went bad. Want to upgrade to the same turbo you have, but it will require a new/bigger inlet and an oil pan gasket. Do you agree?
@@jbear1990 you also have a PWG then. EWGs didn't come out until I THINK mid-year 2014 when the LCIs started to roll out. So the Shuenk turbos come with their own proprietary turbo inlet pipe. You will need to have a custom tuner ready for when complete the install. You will need a high-flow catted downpipe OR a catless downpipe as well. Oil pan gasket isn't needed for a turbo install. But generally, you should take care of any active leaks prior throwing a larger turbo. Larger turbo= higher crankcase pressure= more oil will get pushed out the existing seals.
hey man i did this with the same JDMspeed valve cover and everything but now im getting a loud humming noise that only stops when i remove the oil cap…any ideas what this could be? i’m stumped
A lot of variables to consider. Any idea where the humming is coming from? Determining that would be my first step. Did it start right from the beginning of having this aluminum valve cover or did it start sometime after? Is it under load or at idle? Check all your intake tubing connections. Check that your crankcase vent line )the corrugated tube for the PCV) doesn’t have a crank in it as it gets brittle with age. Is it PWG or EWG- if PWG check that the vacuum pipe is attached properly AND that you have a vacuum cap on the unused port on the side of the valve cover.
If all that goes well you may have gotten one with a faulty PCV diaphragm and I’d contact the vendor at that point. Maybe they can supply you with a replacement PCV kit (the cap just pops off and the rubber diaphragm and spring are right there, so very easy replacement). If they cant provide that id ask for partial credit so you can order your own N55 PCV kit
yeah man so i took your advice and checked everything and concluded that it must be a faulty valve cover pcv. they actually gave me a brand new valve cover which im installing right now as we speak so fingers crossed crossed that fixes the issue. i have a 2011 535i PWG
and yes it started right after replacing the valve cover. don’t ya just love these things lol

Have you tried a 5" c-clamp to push the piston in oh and maybe dry graphite on the pins grease never seize captures dust and dirt causing wear on the pins
That’s a great idea on the dry graphite! I’ve never used it before so Ill look to get me little tub of it. Thanks!! And the pad spreader was almost free so why not? Lolol plus, if the calipers were not painted Id have no problem using a C-clamp. But being painted I’d rather not risk marring the finish.

Is this quick repair ?, or even partly fix old cracked mount ? I realy dont have time remove all subframe on my passat cc . I did it once on my old B6 , and it was job for one day for me and I sad never again :D

That's a very open question. How you approach the fix to this code would depend on what chassis, what engine, what year, are you tuned or not?

The holes you made will not work at all when you're hood is closed.
The top row of the Mk7.5R goes right to that area. I can literally squat in front of my car and see the holes i made. I should have shown that in the video but totally forgot.
@@turbospoolAha I will squat too in front of my 7.5R and check it. Then I will probably do the same intake mod. I will have a different intake setup though but still it's fun to watch someone else modding his 7.5r😃. Liked & subbed 👍

@@turbospool Seems promising video's for the future! I'm not working on it besides the 'easy' stuff. I have a close friend who wants to do for me full brakes soon front and rear. I also plan on doing the TVS DSG stage 2+ around black friday or new year (waiting for the discount) and maybe probably a stage 1 tune instead of stage 2. I would love to go stage 2 but then I have to put more money down then I want. The TVS TCU tune is something you might be interested in down the line.

I have a 2013 535i N55 and it has been in Florida since new so now that I moved to Chicago and tried the heat I think for the first time.. like I never had the heat on in this BMW.. anyways not cold but definitely not hot air.. so the first thing I did was a new thermostat, flush/bleed but still no heat.. and then I found your video and sure enough a new heater control valve did it . Thx buddy..

Year later looking for driving impressions.
A year and a half later* (lol) before i sold the car. It was awesome! It’s the perfect turbo for a daily driver like this was to me. Tons of bottom end and midrange. And ample top end. Unlike the original turbo that died off after 4800 ish, this N55+ pulled hard up to 6100 before it started to drop. For a daily driver that’s perfect! If you want more top end with the compromise of less bottom, the F55 is the way to go. I did have to replace the wastegate actuator a year into it (as mine was from the 1st batch that it was a known issue resolved for later batches). Other than that the turbo had been (and continues to be) excellent.
Can this cause code 3162 - Tank ventilation system, shutoff valve, activation: Line disconnection? If not what could it be.
A quick google search shows that code is specific to a fault with the cylinder 5 injector. So i would look at that. Not sure where you’re seeing that tank vent system fault. But if that were accurate, i would inspect your tank vent valve. Neither have to do with the rail pressure sensor though
Shoes it threw mhd but the car drives great but every 20 minutes it starts stuttering and I get no throttle response some times it will build boost but hult then it goes away and drives fine for 20 minutes
