They sent 4 planes - so who are the 8 pilots? He only chooses Phoenix, Bob, Rooster, Payback, Fanboy and Maverick... that's 6 pilots yet they have 4 planes doing the bombing run? What am I missing?

this one's pretty young, this might be one of it's first hunts? This Predator is definetly a narrative foil for Naru, the Main-Character. and isn't just thrown in there to make the heroine look good.

It’s definitely a different hunting tribe than the other predators as well, it’s weaponry isn’t that futuristic compared to the other movies, I thought it was pretty rad tbh.

Choosing Rooster saved his life. No way Hangman was going back to save him.
The weird thing is, had this actually happened, and Naru wasn’t present during the event, there would have been no one to tell the story because the predator would have killed them all, all of the French hunters/frontiersmen (correct me if I’m wrong) would have been dead, leaving no trace of evidence
This was the first r rated movie I was allowed to watch so this movie will forever hold a special place in my heart

I’m definitely new to the Yautja and predator lore. But I saw a comment that mentioned the reason why this predator made so many mistakes was because he was young and it was his first ritual hunt. Also that he has a temper and it shows a lot. I really enjoy the fact that they aren’t just mindless killers but they’re actually a species with personalities. Compared to say the original who was clearly far more experienced , level headed, and older.
at this point they should have mary sue hunting the predator and it running for its life.

people will bitch about any movie with a female MC who's shown to even be slightly competent. not only does Naru learn and grow as a hunter, The Yautja in this movie is a narrative foil for her. it's more experienced and better trained, armed, etc, but it's young like her, and on it's first hunt, so it has something to prove. if you actually watch for the signs you'll find characterization that makes sense, that isn't just 'big scary monster gets beaten by a WOMAN, must be SJW crap.'
