Much too complicated. As much as I love the kineticist, it just doesn't fit. Highlights of how I would make him: Ancestry/Heritage is Human/Dromaar. He is recognizably human, but also recognizably *different*, and Ishvalin red eyes come from somewhere, right?. Ancestry feats include Orc Superstition & Pervasive Superstition to avoid being killed by State Alchemists, and Bloody Blows is a good representation of what happens when he destroys just part of his target. For Background Anti-Magical is great if your GM lets you, otherwise Martial Disciple is a fine (if bland) option. For class, Scar doesn't need armor for defense, fights well unarmed, has good mobility, and uses a repeatable destructive magical effect. Monk checks all those boxes quite nicely. Class feats are Qi spells, notably Inner Upheaval, and the Assassin archetype. Yes, Assassin. He gets in, typically kills his targets with a single devastating strike, and gets out without being caught. Sounds like an assassin to me, so give him the feats to back it up. Attribute boosts go primarily to Strength and Dexterity. Str max is probably more thematic, but dex max is just as viable and perhaps slightly superior mechanically. Scar takes quite a beating so Con is a no-brainer, but what might surprise some is a small investment in Charisma. It'll make sense in a moment. Scar's best skills are the ones you don't see on screen more than the ones you do - Stealth and Disguise (trench coat and sunglasses are a disguise, right?) Acrobatics and Athletics are good, but Scar has to be able to evade capture in the middle of Central.

I really enjoy the caster builds trying to reflavor spells into the power and abilities characters have, it is always a fun listen and fun to predict, follow or get surprised.

As someone who has not played mario I really thought there was a blue yoshi that has that backstory until the very end of the joke. As soon as you mentioned dragon I knew sorerer, sorcerer with dragon form is a classic

Great video, although I feel the Ponygait heritage just gets in the way, since it means Mario has to be two a size smaller than medium to ride Yoshi. He's short but small as a Gnome short? And Luigi is definitely not that short. I would have gone with Mottle-Coat so he could be various colors depending on the Yoshi you got, or Stoutheart for more HP, or Budding Speaker to get more primal spells. Maybe Dragonblood so he could be reptilian from the start. 7:04 "Gm can my centaur have the Thlippit contestant dedication?" "Centaurs don't have long tongues." Wow, this character is great. I love the ones with funky archetypes! The ancestry is a starfinder one, maybe if you wanted to go a pure pathfinder build, a fleshwarp ancestry could work.

There was an Ancestry in Starfinder 1e that was literally a Symbiote, and I do hope it makes a return in 2e at some point - But until then, I think this was an excellent choice! Fun video!

imo I think (something like) Exalted works better for OP characters. At least it makes more sense to me, considering what each setting's like.

Great thing about the Devise a Strategem, per RAW if that attack roll is a Nat 20, you can then use Spellstrike to ensure that 1 shot you have hits as hard as possible. Also, using mixed heritage simulate the Symbiote is a stroke of genius. I've been trying to figure out how do build Venom using Summoner with Meld into Eidolon, and I just couldn't get the healing factor right. This build works so much better. I can't even imagine how bonkers it could get with Free Archetype.

Gotta give it to you, investigator was not a class that i considered for someone like Venom, but its a neat take for the duo that this character represents, gj.

Society doesn't make sense because the story of Duel Monsters is literally about Atem trying to figure out his identity. Also, they aren't Yugi if they can't cheat their dice rolls

The schedule is fine by me, irl stuff is priority so don't worry folks. Also the inclusion of the ratfolk spin is a neat nod to the game mechanic that plays into his uncanny speed so nice work there!

i'd suggest getting a pop filter, you p's are very noticeable. otherwise good work. 1:24 pet peeve, the heart of the cards is not cheating but rather a function of the magic system. the more skilled you are, the more in tune with your cards you are, the greater your ability to draw what you need is. if you're good enough, you can create the card you need out of thin air. magic items and aliens help certainly, but are ultimately not needed

Definitely support the smaller workload for a relaxed holiday. I don't know what that special is but I'm excited for it!

Love seeing a Yu-gi-oh build for pathfinder, and showcasing a new class from the new rulebook! Now I want to see if I can use the same class to make the Shaman King.
