Hi we are Darren and Toni a couple of 50 somethings who decided to build a Campervan in 2021. We bought a 2008 Mercedes Sprinter ex Parcelforce van and gave it a go. We have since been travelling around the UK in our Campervan looking for new places to see, and even set ourselves challenges along the way. Our biggest challenge has been keeping the van running (not joking ha ha ) But we got attached and could not give up on her. We have dipped our toes into France and hope in the future to self build a younger van and travel further afield. However in the mean time please join us as we continue to make complete fools of ourselves, have a laugh along the way, either at us or with us. By the way the campervan is called Syna which is a Greek Girls name meaning two together, or is is according to Google.

New subscriber SASvANaCH vanlife recommendation.I got a 2008 Lwb high top Sprinter last year 107k one owner,a locksmith used it as his workshop for cutting h keys.new turbo and actuator,clutch,heater fan.I had to replace a burst heater matrix what a job that was.garage replaced cracked egr manifold and new common rail,mechanic done over 40 hrs on van but only charged me for 14hrs 👊😍..replaced coolant system with Evan’s heavy duty non water coolant for turbo diesel vans.wouldn’t like to go through another matrix replacement.new fuel pump and starter motor.might need a new alternator 🤔.passed mot just track rod ends and anti roll bar,got them to change oil in diff.still delighted with Bandit.👍
Great vlog guys, Love Lincoln and the Lawn car park is a great place to stop. We haven't done the museum yet but will do next time we go with Charlie. Shame the Xmas market is no longer on as would be a great place to park up and visit. Steephill is a killer , we walked down it but found another way back up but was still as bad and we both had to keep stopping for a sit down lol.

Keith reckons that if I sat an exam in grumpiness I would get triple A grade. Yep I think I hit 50 when grumpiness arrived in full force. So do you know what gets me? People who don't know what indicators are and can't position a car properly when turning right....or those who think they have to swing out to the right to turn left. That's just for starters but you don't want a 2000 word essay on here.
