Hi guys, my name is Natalya Thompson. I was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina. I was also in the Upward Bound Program. I had some difficulties and bumps along the way but I pushed through. I received my bachelors from North Carolina A&T State and my Master's Degree from Capella University. Here I am 26 years old today and I can honestly say that although our stories are different I can relate and I am so glad that my mom really stressed education and knew Upward Bound could be a way out for me. In addition, I just want to say that I have fell in love with Viola Davis. Her humility and authenticity as an artist is beyond beautiful. Not to mention, you ladies are beautiful as well. I have prayed, prayed and prayed some more that one day I will meet Viola and the rest of you ladies. They always say "it takes a village to raise a child" and the further I move into my adulthood that statement makes more sense. Love Natalya Thompson
