I think it’s weird translation wording. I think what they’re saying is his abilities (moveset and such) won’t change significantly, but his power will increase (leading to a better chance of reversal/turning the tide of the fight, because you’re just stronger)

So one of the reasons I’ve wanted Ikaku so much is because his bankai already feels like it’s designed for a video game. It just gets stronger over time. That powering up over time mixed with these extreme stance mixups not dissimilar to Gen from Street Fighter 4 or something. Means that he’ll just keep getting more and more rewarded over time for playing smart and maintaining a good offense. He looks great.

Ikkaku feels like a really good beginner character (I'm expecting a 5-Star Ease of use). By having a really simple kit being based around his signature move, I expect he'll be pretty balance.

Armored attacks and long reach. He seems to be a strong counter character.

Sweet, now I get to exact vengeance on him as Nel 3:)

Awesome hope they add espada number 9 I think he would be a cool character to add with kaien shiba body as his awakening plus he was the first espada of the 10 espada and the last member of the original espada one of my favorite Arrancars

Voice is deeper, but sounds good. We also get Pray instead of Cry

They made this dude ~67% as cool as he could be. His OST? Fire. His models? Fire. His animations? Fire. His kit? Fire. Anime/manga references? Oozing with them. Also fire. But where is his reawakening? Where's his awakening's special mechanic, where SP move 2 gives him arms, but kikon moves make him lose them? They gave him his kicks, his cero, his chain-wielding, his hierro, everything but his unique ability to regrow limbs despite being an arrancar, who generally lose instant regeneration, and half of the extra arms he has to begin with, unless they're really keeping things secret in this trailer, but it's not like they hid even Uryu's reawakening from us. Definitely a main, definitely done justice for the most part, but damn, it's a shame he doesn't get to be his full self when the other espada get to be theirs. (Well, at least he's in.)

The most one-dimensional multi-dimensional character in the game. And then he awakens. I wonder how different his moveset becomes. I'm gonna play him for sure, no more than many tho. Fortunately, nobody else got revealed today who I'd definitely play over him. They'd have to finally give me Barragan or Nnoitra for that to happen.

Where is halibel😢

nnoitora seems like he wants to use his reach to keep you out. his awakening just buffs his damage. his armor might make his throws really good and even if you tech it you end up at a range where nnoitora wants you ether way.

We still missing 2 captains

Assuming Nnoitra was meant for next week we have 4-5 characters left. Stark, Barragan and Hallibel are 100% gonna be in the game. So the other two characters could be chosen between Yammy, Ukitake, Orihime lol, Yumichika or the other remaining Espada like Zommari and Aaroniero. Dangai Ichigo is also very possible but they might not give him a trailer but he could still be in the game as an unlockable character if you finish the story mode.

I haven't been this hype for a fighting game sense Dragon Ball Budokai 3. I guess with him being in the roster we should see Stark and halibel as mixed close range and zoners.

Him & Kenpachi are going to go crazy against each other it's like they're made the counter each other with the guard counters

Nnoitra looks really strong! Kenpachi kooks fun but I think I'll like playing this guy more. I feel like I haven't seen a lot of defense breakers in this game and this guy has two of them! He's probably a lot slower to account for his damage, range, and health.

I would of love for them to added more moves for Ikkaku it seems like he’s going to be little easy to read but I like how they made his special moves 3 different moves
