We’ve got a lot of pictures and now this video! My great great grandpas barn on the original 40 has been gone probably 15 years now. The one I want to save is my great grandpas barn! It’s still fairly straight. And as of now just needs tin siding. I’ve thought to do some videos with different tours of the old farmsteads but haven’t gotten enough insight if people would be interested in seeing that.

My channel is kinda in a slump along with the farm during winter time

@@kahlerfamilyfarms mostly silt loom. I have so sandy ground and so clay. I also like that they don't wrap up when planting green in cover crops.

@@kahlerfamilyfarms 6 years. I also run prescription tillage openers. I also installed a kit for the bushings on the closing wheels that changes them to bearings. You have to use washer to get closing wheels back in place with the kit.

Yes unfortunately it would have cost a fortune. I haven’t gotten the last video or two up but the Amish were here yesterday and we got the hay lofts all torn out and cleaned out most of the stuff left in there. It’s been kinda hard on grandma and I but we both agreed it was better to let someone salvage it to build something new than watch it fall on the ground. The Amish are going to build a new barn with the salvaged timbers

These guys ran a L2, L3, R52 and then recently upgraded to this! They feel the same way. It sure has some capacity. I enjoyed riding in it! And I knew it was a MF combine. I’ve never understood why gleaner engineers haven’t figured out a way to make the auger rotate forward just a bit so the view of the auger is as easy as these combines!

How do you like the 6080? I’ve never really been around one! I’ve driven 185s and 180s before! We use to have a 200 here but got rid of it

I bought it because it has a cab.It's been a great tractor the four cylinder turbo engine is strong.

@@paulm6211 how does it compare to the 185 as far as torque and power?

There both strong engines has far as torque Im not sure. As far as power the 6080 feels much stronger in the field probably because of the turbo charger.

@@kahlerfamilyfarms I’m guessing a handyman jack or lower it down on a block, like I say we’ve never locked ours up.

@@Hinesfarm-Indiana I was kind of thinking about a block or if it’s unhooked off the tractor just lift the planter on the stands so it tips back? Idk if that would tip it far enough back on the row units to get the locks in

Nope, I didn’t use ether lol! That darn combine would fire up and just run rough a little bit till she decided to fire on all six again haha
