Ootsa Complex Operational Update September 9
On September 1, Incident Management Team 6 arrived in the Nadina Zone of the Northwest Fire Centre to bolster operational capacity on four fires burning south of Burns Lake. Over the past week, with unseasonably hot and dry conditions, fire behaviour intensified at the Ootsa Lake Complex. As of Sunday, September 8, widespread rain has helped significantly reduce fire activity.
Operations Chief, Joe Lax, provides an update as he flies the Ootsa Lake Complex.
