Where he go?? He gone, reduced to atoms... well especially after the fight No mods used. Patches used -chromatic aberration off -motion blur off -skip intro -60fps -vsync off
You don't want Bloodborne at these framerates

Hopefully this title is controversial enough! Finally got mangohud working so now I can include it in bloodborne update videos. Performance has got better, the RAM is measured in GB if you were curious, no idea why manoghud doesn't mention that.

Neat little addition that gets us closer to the full bloodborne experience. This will eventually become an optional feature. This update has also included way better performance on my end, but I choose to not play with vsync off because I get way over 120fps, which causes physics issues with running and rolling. github.com/shadps4-emu/shadPS4/issues/2024#issuecomment-2568380724

Doing something a little less easy this time, big bonky weapons seem too easy. Avelyn and Greatbows are going to be quite the herculean task, the only punishable attack I have found is the jump attack, and even the Artorias can do an attack too fast for me to respond to after the jump depending on where I stand. But I'm gonna get it done.

hey man , do you think i would see a difference in fps using a r5 7600 , 4070 super , 32gb ram on linux instead of windows ? i get 100 fps at 1080p w11 but i´m wondering if i could get better frames on linux ? i also have a 3050 4gb , i5 12500h laptop that runs pretty bad on w11 , would the linux version help ? and which linux version should i get ? thanks
@@Matheus-nr3zl id hesitate to recommend Nvidia users going to Linux. If you wanted to try id recommend pop_os! Since it has a custom Nvidia driver installer. I use fedora and some of the people in the ShadPS4 discord were amazed I was getting as high of framerates as I am

I'm still a little new to Linux. I'm using mint and every app image I've used in the past works fine but I download this one and I set it to allow executing as a program and nothing happens. I uncheck that box, click on it, and it tells me its an unknown file type and i need to select a program to open it and I'm so lost. I even downloaded the Ubuntu version on a whim and nothing. I also tried running it through the terminal and it said permission denied.. lol what is happning? any help is greatly appreciated. either way I was able to get this installed on windows, I just hate swapping between just for bloodborne.
@@SeldomPro try sudo chmod +x <file_name> then run it. I've had to do that sometimes in the past
@@skillissuehaver Didn't work :( it didn't give me an error or anything it just doesn't do anything. this is so weird. It's like if it could work it would and wants to but it refuses to actually open the program. I'll try downloading a different version or something
@@SeldomPro sudo chmod +x doesn't output anything to the terminal. Sorry I forgot to mention you do ./<file_name> after you do that. Try another version. Download the stable 0.5 of ShadPS4. Worst comes to worst I can upload my app image and send it to you
@@skillissuehaver okay so i typed "sudo chmod +x. ./Shadps4-qt.AppImage" with the latest (I assume stable) "0.5.0 - codename squidwars" release and nothing... Also thank you for all your help so far! I also tried to run the image through an image manager but it didn't launch. also if it helps I'm on Linux mint kernel 6.8.0-51

@@dtn3640 you have to disable the 1440p patch. It's still not stable.
Love the 1440p but are you finding textures just arent loading when u run it in general? 1080p everything loads in perfectly so I've just been using that

anyone else getting crashes on ludwig second phase. worked on windows but it doesn't work on linux at all. i've tried everything
@@cringeylazy Ludwig 2nd phase crashes on Linux unless you use the cutscene fix mod

ive had played on the diegolix29 build last week, still not sure why the hell this slow running happens. ive set the v-blank to 3 (only aiming to reach 180fps at max) and im thinking about limiting to see if this is a glitch bounded to the higher fps execution of the game. btw, setting aside the Ebrietas animation getting stuck and breaking the game (theres a fix to that) and vertex explosion, the game is really solid atm. kudos to the devs for this xmas/new years present
@@skalel as far as I know it's just how the physics engine works. And at higher framerates everything breaks. This also happens in demon souls and dark souls 3 from what I've seen with myself or friends. I'm glad to see progress as far as it is. It's nearing perfection!

@@oddlang687 yup, that'll do it. Shadps4 is gpu bound. So having a good GPU really helps

@@skillissuehaver by hyper-mode, I mean cursing yourself and counteracting the health degen with the Sanctus (this only works if your Vit is low). But either way you get the job done!

On Debian, I'll have to get a different distro or switch to Sid/Unstable branch of Debian if I want to run Shadps4. Cuz the default Debian is running an outdated version of Glibc. Shadps4 is asking for 2.38, and I have 2.36. Ugh.
That's unfortunate. Hopefully they update that soon! Fedora is a great stable and fairly up to date distro is you wanna hop on over!

@@thefullmetalheart_ sounds like an Nvidia issue. I'm on AMD, I can't really be helpful with Nvidia. Open an issue on the ShadPS4 GitHub, or consult the discord. They may know how to help with that.

There's so many good ones. But I think Ludwig will always be my favorite. Every part of him is art, the sfx, the ost, the move set is so much fun, the arena just screams bloodborne. He's in a league of his own.
I would actually like to correct something: 60fps crashes has a mod to fix it, hopefully this won't be necessary in the future but I have linked themod in the description

Hey, any recommendations where I should look for a guide on how to set up ShadPS4 for Bloodborne on Linux? Any plans to make a video on your setup? I'm kinda new, switched from using Windows all my life to Linux (Mint) last month, and I feel like I have to re-learn everything lol.
Sorry, I definitely should've included this in the description. In the video before this there is the Diegolix build, this is the ohly build I've got working on Linux. You don't need to do anything special. But if you use the 60fps patch, make sure to have the vblank divider set to 2
