The guy definitely could have sped up, but for the most part it was the lady in front of car 57 (presumably the guy’s wife or girlfriend) that was going super slow. The guy couldn’t fully speed up because she was right there the whole time. So overall he could have gone faster but the lady shouldn’t have gone on the ride, or should have waited to ride if she knew she might be scared of going too fast. Because she ruined the ride for probably multiple people behind her.

When I go on those alpine coasters, I tell the operator at the top that I do not plan on using the brakes unless I absolutely have to, and to please delay my departure for another 15 seconds or more if they are willing. They always do. But if you get into this situation, just brake way down and watch behind you for the next person to come up on you and then let go.

Great run, spoilt only by people who should stick to walking, maybe there should be an over taking lane or stick to the children's rides ?, what idiot thought manually operated breaks would be a great idea, nice views though.
