How do you clean the pads ?

Hello, should the lines be flushed of compound if I’m not going to use it for weeks?

That's recommended to avoid blockages yes.

I've been selling video games on eBay for the past 3+ years (2019-2023).... this machine has saved me thousands of dollars... yes you're locked in to their supplies, but the results are heads and shoulders beyond the cheap Chinese alternative. I'll be buying another....

1st question, Why does the line have to stay off the bottom of the water bottle? 2nd, Do you use filtered water to refill the bottle? 3rd, Does priming the system use any minutes off the card? I dont own one, but am thinking of buying 1 or 3 for my business. Thanks for your help with these questions

1 - just incase there is anything that may block the line at the bottom of the water bottle. 2 - You want to use demineralized water or "soft" water. 3 - I don't believe it uses any time off the card. Priming only takes a few seconds after the first time you use the machine.

Charging $1400 for a machine that forces your customers to buy a key to run the machine, for a limited time, they shouldn't have to ask for a solution to a mirror polish it. That should already happen.

Right? ... unfortunately you need to buy the 6K$ model if you want to own your machine (no keycard) and get a perfect finish no questions asked.

At first, I thought the key card and $90 supply pack was insane. So much so that I got the JFJ instead. After using that machine, I was not satisfied with the results and noticed that the wheel that the disc attach to was not balanced and caused inconsistencies. I will agree that the finishing pads should come with every refill set but from my research, these machines were made for higher volume industries like game/movie stores and libraries. I justify my Eco Pro2 purchase like this: 1) This is not a company pumping out new versions of the machine every year (consumers have no issue buying the newest phone year-after-year). 2) Without knowing Elm's business, I would have to assume that their profits are not in the machine, but in the supplies they sell (much like companies that sell video game systems). 3) In 2022, consumers are more accepting of subscription-based services than even 10 years ago. I would rather keep buying supplies that are used directly to the items I am selling and keep the servicing resource "alive" so I can continue doing business. I do not consider this 'product' an asset; it is a consumable.

@@DaddiePoop I still hate the idea of buying the key card, but I do own a machine and it works great.

Is there supposed to be any visible swirls left behind where the pads have done the work? I’ve got one tried numerous discs and pads and yes it gets rid of the scratches but I end up with pad swirl scratches in both CD and BD mode.

Yes swirls happen with all repair machines. They like to act like these expensive machines leave no visible marks to increase sales but just not true. It all depends on the type of lighting and angle you check. They do have mirror finishing pads to make the swirls less visible but still there.

@idorocks23 No they don't , only negative is for people really picky about condition. An unpolished disc in new condition will always look better than a polished one. I've used alot of professional machines and they're all very similar. Basically at first, the finish is close to new, but as you go through the repair pack, the pads/polish wear down and pick up dust etc, the finish gets worse and worse. By the time you are half way through repair pack they don't look great. You could replace the pads sooner but then of course cost per repair increases alot.

If you look really closes you can see some light swirls. If you get the polish pads they get rid of that and get it back to mirror finish.
