Hey man, i play with keyboard and mouse. I gave a long explanation on how to beat hard/complicated bosses somewhere else so ill paste it here: Ill give you some general tips that i picked up in my experience playing so many mods. Instead of looking at each slash individually, there are a lot of "combos" that are set in stone, they always have the same rhythm/timing to parry it perfectly. If you look at Genichiro for example he might have those 2 slashes and a stomp or he jumps and shoots 3 arrows, waits a bit and shoots another one. If you devide the fight in these strings of attacks that are always the same you dont have to react to each slash individually and you just need to know what the start of the combo looks like (and you can do the rest basically blindfolded because you know what comes next). After understanding that he does certain combos where you know that each timing will always be the same, you can look at what comes after the combo. After some combos the boss can do anything but after most there are only a few options for followup combos/attacks. If you look at vanilla Genichiro after he jumps and does a slash downwards you dont know for certain what specific attack he will do, but you also know that it wont be any attack, he will do either a sweep or a thrust. A lot of times it will look like the boss does random attacks but if you look closely you see he only chooses between 2 or 3 attacks and you can look to react for those specific followups which makes it a lot easier than trying to take every attack in existence into account. When you think like this you have 3 core stages of a fight, you have neutral where the boss can pick a wide variety of attacks (usually after a string of combos is finished), you have the combos themselves (so you are deflecting attacks where you can perfectly predict what comes next) and you have inbetween the combos (or even inside a combo with harder mods) where the boss can pick a few options but far less than in neutral state. Here are some tips to improve at each stage: in neutral state theres not much you can do, try to understand what a boss does after parrying you or when he gets hit but this is mostly reaction based. Lets say you figured out what combos a boss does that you know dont have any mixups or uncertainties, try to watch videos or record yourself parrying the attacks and listen to the rhythm, try tapping the patern with your finger or repeat it in your mind. For the mixups, inbetween the combos you want to know what the start of each combo looks like and if a boss has 2 or 3 options how you can differentiate as soon as possible which of the options the boss is gonna pick. For the sweep/thrust mixup you can look at where Genichiro puts the sword, forward on the ground means thrust, behind him means sweep. Sometimes mods have subtle hints at what followup the boss will pick, think about the slight electricity on the sword before Genichiro does the sakura dance with lightning at the end. On a sidenote, bosses also mix up combos and followups depending on what phase they are in (in vanilla, Genichiro only does thrust after his jumpslash in p1 but in p2 he has the sweep/thrust mixup). Figuring out what changes inbetween phases is really important and is often hard to remember while fighting (musclememory can make you mikiri immediatly after the jump slash in p2 of vanilla Genichiro because thats what you do in p1 but you need to remember that in p2 it isnt certain that he will do a thrust). The easiest way to figure all these things out is to watch other videos on the same mod. You can hear the rhythms of the combos and you can see the followups and mixups after each combo. You can look for those hints and indications on what attacks will come next without having to focus on playing yourself. Ofcourse you need to play a lot yourself too but "studying" the boss is a really powerful tool to perfect a fight. I always look up a lot of videos before practicing a boss to understand the combos, mixups and indications/hints. Its one of the best ways to quickly learn a boss imo. Another small tip is that most people underestimate how long the parrywindow is, pressing a bit earlier and holding block more can help you perfect deflect even if the slash and the parry is not at the exact same time. Holding block is far better than spamming before an attack because spamming reduces your parryframes signicantly and you end up either having to do a frame perfect or even with no parryframes at all. Im not saying to hold down block indefinitely but holding block for around 300 ms (the amount of time you have for a perfect parry) is so much better and longer than pressing block a few times in short succession. These tips might seem overcomplicated and for obvious mixups like that example of the sweep/thrust mixup of Genichiro that would be correct. The power in these tips is that it turns gutfeelings into a concrete understanding of the fight which doesnt leave room for uncertainties and hesitation. Having these thoughts about what the rhythm is and what comes next can make you more focused on the fight and less reliant on reactiontime and autopilot (which are both not consistent). It also helps you dissect the fight into a simple to remember flowchart and helps you understand the fight which would make you calmer and quicker while fighting.

And when i see you i feel good somehow. Anyway, modded bosses are hard to follow. Recently, i'm tapping for deflecting. Not tapping more than one time for an attack. But it helped me i guess. In advance, i hold for deflection and some fast combos are hard with holding deflect. How many times are you trying to mastering at these mods? Nowadays, i'm prepearing for LMTSR and some mods that aren't on the nexus like Ying Wu, OSS Delta and much more. Thanks for your feedback again, i appreciate that.

the only way to fix it is to remove the mod and keep your progress until you meet the sculptor, then install the mod back, btw mortal isshin is inner isshin version but you need to conquer gauntlets of strength to fight him.

Your input def helped the mod in the early stages and made the final product atleast somewhat playable. Having thoughtful and intentional mixups that feel smooth (instead of a mess of bad blending, cancels and braindead randomness to make it "hard") is very refreshing.

The resurrection mod is basically that, a fanmade dlc. You should check it out.

If youve played this game for a few hundred hours you might feel like it gets a bit boring and stale, even mods feel all the same. This is so different from everything else that it feels great to play. I dont care about lore at this point, I choose to play fun and satisfying mods.

There are only 1 or 2 attacks that i can think of that even slightly obstruct the screen where it would be harder to see what attack comes next, unlike lmtsr this mod is very visually clear whats going on.
