Hey my guy, how can i turn my skills green? All my spells are orange T.T Great vid by the way, i never really understood shadowburn but it seems that when u're max level, you always have enough soulshards to use it at will I noticed you didnt have your pet on the last clip, was it accidental? What raid mode was that? LFR? Normal?

I don't understand what makes you "tankier" with Demo talents tho like it just increases your pets mana or whatever for the most part, no? how does that work?

Rotation seems pretty straight forward. Thank you for not overcomplicating it like many creators will with extra details not necessary for 99% of people.

I am not looking for FOTM but which spec(Destro/Afflic/Demon) would you say, out of the Lock is best for Raids, Openworld/Delves, Dungeons, etc.

This spec works good. I switched hellfire pushback to searing pain crit chance. I also prefer to run with the chest crit rune since dance of the wicked adds that to your dodge on crit. Today I had 87% dodge with the cd up for 6s and 57% dodge flat, starter mc gear ilvl63. The healing from drain life in a raid does add up at 300/sec, although a 300 tick is not going to save you. Demonic tactics not only gives that dodge and damage but negates two gcds every 15sec for drain life, 3s/15s=20% of the gcds for drain life and the life tap which can now be used on other things. Also 10% more chance to get 2% mana back on hit.

If you're tanking a 5man with a lot of trash packs (more then 4 mobs) like BRD or undead strat, are warlock tanks using the rain of fire chest rune to help with aoe threat or just going for hellfire with drain health helping to keep the healer happy? I was going to test both options soon, but you probably already have the answer :)

Question - Do you think the Buff/Debuff from the Master Demonologist talent that Reduces threat caused by 20% negatively affects tanking? Isnt the point of tanking to keep more threat? is the negative made up by the positives of the other buffs?

Just some helpful tips. Shadow ward rank 4 is the highest rank. Should never hard cast a spell while tanking. Can't dodge then. Firestone can't be used when wearing a staff. Make sure your in Meta form first before summoning Felguard to get the right buffs from him. Also if your pet dies then you can't use the defensive CD's. Put points into Searing Pain for some massive damage/threat

Hey dude I appreciate the guide, but I'm having some trouble understanding something. Hopefully somebody reading this can help me. I just started a toon over on SoD last week (a warlock) and just hit 60 yesterday morning. I've used this video since then as a template to go around and get all the runes I need, as well as mirrored your spec, but I'm having some trouble understanding your process towards the end (@ 12:23) when you're getting into the gearing-up part of the video, you simply say "This part's kind of weird because when it comes to this part of the game you're kind of just looking at BiS". Being a fresh 60 with about 100g to my name in lvl ~30-50 greens I picked up while questing -- how do I go about focusing on said BiS? I'm having a hard time finding a group that wants me at all. :/

So far the best tank build ive run is demo. Untouchable with dodge, reduced damage taken, free 60 FR, 20% more threat. Just makes tanking crazy easy.

Why fel armor over demon armor? I get the spell power is nice but the armor loss is massive.

You should try the Nightfall/destro spec. Does a lot more damage and threat. Plus too if your casting immolate when mobs are hitting you then you can't dodge the attacks and will take more damage

Could I ask what addons you are using for the UI, specifically the health on your characters nameplate. The thicker healthbar?

Not sure if affliction/demo-tanking is viable. I really like it in open world with siphon life, drain life, insta corruption, curse. Not sure if its shit I just like playing it 😅 would be nice with guides for some nonmeta-specs if theres anything viable at all. From someone thats more experienced. Great videos!

hey man im looking your guide very cool one ! i have 2 question first is: do you use soul fire in rotation or is it just bad ? and the second is why you think spell power superior to critical bc crit spell does 2 time dmg of the spell. i'm thinking about choose hubris or or adoration stick from last boss it like 55 spell power with hubris and the ball but no crit chance bc no intelligence and the stick give only 20 sp but give 14 inteligence + 2percent crit (for convertion 1percent crit is 25 intelligence)

imp. Shadow Bolt is for any trash aoe packs in raid, which are a lot. Don't need less mana cost anymore since they buffed paladins.

The the new changes to life tap you do not need the point in the fel int as your pet now restores mana when you life tap. You can just fill out your stam and 1 in HS.

Improved shadow bolt + shadow bolt volley is super important in ST, combine that with back draft and you’ll be top dps no problem, I’ve only been using chaos bolt on single target bosses. Love the vid dude keep it up 👍

Soulfire is a meme and loss of DPS except when you just want to have fun or open with it.. doesn't do enough DPS but fun to cast
