Hua Hin: The Best Activities & Things To Do
In this video we show you some of the many great activities you can do when you are exploring around the Hua Hin in Pratchuap Khiri Khan Province about 3 hours south of Bangkok.
The first day trip on our list was to go out to the popular Wat Huay Mongkol, a monument to a famous Thai Monk that was said to be able to perform miracles. We drive up the coast to the lovely seaside town of Cha Am and show you some of the cool things you do when taking a day trip from Hua Hin. South of the city we visit Suan Son Beach and the headland at Khao Tao. We also visit the impressive Rajabhakti Park where see the monument to 7 of Thailands Great Kings.
If you are visiting Hua Hin in Thailand these are some awesome ideas for day trips to explore this area.

....empty city ....
Empty ? Hua Hin is anything but empty
Ten years ago, after ten years of holidays in Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya etc etc I discovered hua hin and the north (another wonderful place) and, to this day it is a fixed stop. It offers everything, absolutely everything, high quality food and accommodation facilities, markets and nightlife as you can see in the video, without losing the authentic Thai character but above all, without having to endure pitiful scenes of drunk and indecent mass tourists. I love HH
Hua Hin is a vibrant place with lots to do outside the typical bar scene, although there are bars in various locations around the city, Soi 80, Soi 94 & Soi Bintabaht, to name the most popular. Sure, it's a bit more relaxed than other more boisterous places, which only adds to its charm. Just a few clicks south are some of the best beaches, temples, caves, and places to explore with activities that don't involve getting drunk, although you can do that if you wish, but you'd be seriously missing out.
Where did you rent the van from?
@@TheBadcompany1971 just asked one of the guys on the street how much it would cost for the day there are quite a few of them around and they have sign boards with the pricing

Lovely video, thank you! I’m an Aussie going to Koh Lanta for the first time next month. I’m a bit nervous to ride a scooter as I have no experience and will be travelling solo. Shaz you looked very confident for your first time! How did you find it?
@@tiffanyha7831 Hi Tiffany glad you have enjoyed the video. Koh Lanta for me was a great place to learn as the streets are relatively quiet compared to Phuket or Pattaya and the roads are flat so no massive hills like Koh Chang or Koh Samui I think you should be ok I would ride there again Just stick to the left and if anyone wants to go around you they can Indicate early and check that no one is going to ride up the inside of you when you turn and if need be just follow a local that’s always the easiest way to learn how the traffic flows :) Good luck and have an amazing time in Koh Lanta I think we will be going back again early next year cos wr love it so much:) Try and get to the Elephant sanctuary we have done a video on that if you would like to check it out More than happy to answer any questions you have to try and make your first time the best time :)

Khao lak or krabi or phuket...which ones is the best for kids and adult both
Good question Khao Lak has amazing beaches but not a whole lot to do for the kids, there are some things like mini golf and bamboo rafting Phuket has amazing beaches like Bang Tao, Kamala, Surin, Kata and Nai Han beach and there is so much to do with the kids but depending on the time of year that you go it can be very busy Krabi, not so nice beaches and some beautiful things to do Emerald pool, kayaking hot springs but is that what the kids will like :) If I was to take my kids I would probably go to Phuket as they have so much more things to do for the kids If it was just me and Rob going I would go back to Khao Lak because the beaches are amazing and it is such a relaxed place compared to Phuket I hope this helps :)
@robshaztravels so much to do means what ??? I love beaches....and nature...that's good enough for 5 days...we don't want to take too many risks....how is the local transportation in khao Lak ??? Is it too expensive??

So many nice places in Thailand. I love Jesus
Lovely place but a bit on the pricey side not particulary budget friendly, especially when you take other highly developed places into consideration costwise in other locations. Sure you get a remotish beautiful place at twice the cost of elsewhere both in accomadation and food.
You can get accomodation from 499 baht and meals from 60 baht large bottles of water for 14 baht and beer from 60 baht at a restaurant, you can certainly find the cheaper way to live or you can also find the more expensive just depends on your personal preference We like to find the cheaper way to live and that works for us

Hi We didn’t have much rain there was a little bit here and there but nothing to stop you having a fabulous time We think the rain didn’t really start that year until June but the winds they do change direction so for the beaches in Railay and Patong they will be blowing on shore which makes the water choppy but for places like Hua Hin and Khanom beach and the east coast of Koh Samui the winds are perfect for the beaches as they are blowing off shore :) Hope that helps :)

Swimming in natural, warm, calm water is the main reason I'm thinking of snowbirding to Thailand this winter and hopefully make it a regular practice. Really appreciate the observations on westerly breeze, jelly fish, water clarity, currents. I did notice from photos that the water seemed a little rougher at times at Hua Hin (West side of the gulf so east shore) vs Jomtien (East side so west shore). Good to get the scoop on dates for that effect! Thanks mate! Also great to get a detailed view of Koh Lanta.
Hello Paul, thanks for the message. When the conditions are right the swimming and the waters around Thailand are incredibly beautiful. However, conditions are not always right. The prevailing winds go with the seasons in the low season which is usually from the end of May through till the end of November. The prevailing winds are. Westerly. this means any shoreline with an east facing coast will have calm. Waters. These sometimes works very good in the golf of Thailand however not so well on The Andaman Sea. When the high season comes the prevailing wins are gentle easterly and make water conditions very good on any west facing coast so that even means the Gulf of Thailand down the Trat side and Jomtien. Hope that helps a little bit the months in which the winds change does vary a little bit and on the shoulders of the high and low seasons you can get winds blowing in different directions on different days but they are usually quite calm as well except when the storms come lol. Enjoy your travels, Rob and Shaz
