I'm a hard-core Mariah Carey fan, but I would not attempt to sing any of her songs, this guy is a lot better than me! No other female singer has a voice quite like Mariah Carey, and no female artist can write a better song than she can, that's why she has so many hits. She's the most talented diva of all time, hands down, and any smart person would agree with me.

The only person whose rendition makes me think of and want to have one with, for laughs and real,is you. I have watched many male covers and i was half-way or at all impressed. But yours from alpha to omega, made me full of emotions, queerness, undisappointment, and gives me the period nostalgia of the original song. And My All is my number one heart song ever,which you were the realest in my opinion. And as a baritone, you were special. I love you, Sean.

Are you a Baritone? You sound very good.
My comfortable range is between E2-E4, so that puts me as a bass, but I learned to manipulate my sound to sound higher like a baritone

I can try, I’m not really skilled enough to do it on command in the middle of a song most of the time. I just do it when i know it’ll come out which isn’t often. Dimash is definitely very skilled in that range as he can do it on command. I have to keep practicing but thank you very much for the compliments. I occasionally develop small nodules if i belt too much, but then i rest and the swelling goes down.

Youre a baritone! How do You do the whistle?
It’s been a part of my voice for a long time, since i was young. But it started out as a light squeal when I’d tighten my cords and limit airflow when making noises. I didn’t know you could sing in that until years later

Are You a baritone or tenor? Love it so much how You did it!
I’m usually classified as a bass/baritone because of what’s considered my comfortable range. A true baritone would be singers like John Legend and Luther Vandross who can sing a few notes comfortably higher than me between A2-A4, and a tenor would be singers like Chris Brown or Wanya Morris who have a brighter tone in an even higher range. I’ve learned to manipulate my sound to give a somewhat brighter tone but in my lower range, so it often confuses people what I really am, but I’m mostly a bass because my comfortable range lies between E2-E4. It’s why I’m able to sing a lot of female songs an octave lower.

I remember hearing Mariah on the radio for the first time when she first came out in June of 1990. I was at work and we had the radio on. They played, “Vision of Love”. I was enjoying it but when she hit the whistle note, my jaw dropped. I was smitten on the spot and have purchased every one of her albums since then. In that initial moment of hearing her, it was as if I’d been waiting my whole life to hear her voice and didn’t even know I was missing it.

Mariah is my favorite too. There's a life saving force to her voice, she literally has made life more bearable to me for many years. I was like 11 years old when she debuted and i first heard of her in an award show where she was nominated a bunch of times and she pretty much owned that night but all i knew was her name and that it was her very successful debut, and then i heard "Vision Of Love" for the first time and it was clear to me what the fuss was about lol. She really won me over when she proved her critics wrong with her MTV Unplugged concert, which she didn't even need to do because she had mind blowing live performances before that. It'd be interesting to hear you sing one of my favorites "Anytime You Need A Friend" if you haven't already. I think it would sound very good sung by a guy lol, anyway thanks for sharing.
