It’s been a long ten years for Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flight attendants under our current collective agreement. We have braved a pandemic and a cost-of-living crisis. We’ve watched our jobs get harder and harder, and we’ve watched our purchasing power plumet. That’s about to stop. Together, we’re 10,000 members strong. And together, Air Canada flight attendants are going to get the fai...

I’m renewing my RAIC soon, I have to complete 3 online modules (Almost 2 hours), fill out forms, attach documents etc… Everything in my own time. This is not a choice it’s requirement by transport Canada. My time at home is valuable! Renewing a RAIC gives us the right to access restricted areas as an employee representing a company, acting within the duty of a contracted employment. Time spent should be acknowledged as duty to the employer. All unpaid time matters. Those courses are newly introduced as a point of accountability from Transport, but not acknowledged as a part of training by the employer. We could work on that. #unpaidworkwontfly
Keep the good work up, we fully support you.
Great episode! Thanks for all the information and all the hard work you guys have been putting in 🙏🏻♥️
Amazing job Wesley! Keep up the good work! In-flight crew NEED to be compensated fairly. They are hard working professionals who keep the flying public safe (Safety briefings and checks, boarding, assistance to passengers, deplaning, etc..the list goes on)
Explain how unpaid work will be fair for flying overseas compare to flying domestic and transborder
I'm a retired Union rvp with CUPE. I have my protest tags on my carry-on pack. Many fellow passengers ask what they mean. Great way to open a conversation about the issue. Many thanks for sending them to me.
Thanks for this and keeping us updated. I hope that the language of the next collective agreement will be less gray and rock solid.
Agreed!
Amazing work Wesley
That sounds like moden day slavery. Shame on Air Canada!
Preach
Wow how sad! How is corporate not embarrassed about paying such low wages to their frontline employees?
New staff have actually received lists of food bank addresses. Crazy
Great great interview.
Great work folks!
There should be a badge on our chest which reads one side "Unpaid Work" and when plane starts moving we flip the badge to"Paid Work". Sometimes we are in plane helping guests, helping put baggage etc. for more than 2 hours but we are not paid for that
Excellent ❤🎉😅 merci à vous, votre pub est magnifique ❤❤❤❤
Yes !! Absolutely unfair!
Let’s all stand together and understand that this is for all of us regardless of seniority, please
So now we know why, flight attendants do not want to help with the bags ( not making it up! I heard a F/A tell a customer it's not her job) to be fair many do help the guest, rarely do you see a happy flight crew on A/C. I wouldn't be happy if i wasn't getting paid. I fly often, this year on two occasions flying premium economy, I was told i had the choice of curry vegetables or vegetables with curry, well, that doesn't work for me, I don't eat curry and i'm not sitting on a 11 hour flight after a curry meal. So i said no thank you! The F/A was very apologetic, and confirmed that there is just not enough meals to go around. and that this is the " Norm" now! Feeling bad for me she went and got me a meal from business class, and for my wife, she gave up her own meal! This is a gracious gesture that she appreciated. I try not to fly A/C as much as possible, only way to make them aware is hurt them at the bottom line, Thank you flight attendants, shame on Air Canada.
working for no money isnt this basically slavery or something
✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
United FA stands with you!
Very UNFAIR!
YES, thank you. <3
