Katana’s Engine Break-in! (Stage 4+ Predator 212)
Today I finally break in Katana’s engine! I got my pressure release setup (valve cover spacer/catch can) from #ombwarehouse and finally got her running. Hit a few high a** rpm revs at the end that shook the Earth lol 🙌🏼 Thank you all for watching and thank you even more for your support!

My exhaust port looks different than yours but my valve assembly is the same, i guess they gave the exhaust flange more surface area on the newer models. Now i know why some of the headers on amazon are shaped like they are.

If u ever drop a lash cap ,keeper, u can usually drain it out just shake the motor to the oil plug side . Small adjustable magnet...

I keep hearing the term "break-in" question is how do you know when past this point?? is there a sound or a certain feel of vibration or something?? Does the engine start to talk after it clears its throat to say Im broken in?..somebody help a brother out..If not take care and Peace as always
Yeah you'll hear a lot of break in methods. What it usually refers to is the seating of the piston rings which happens quickly. In my opinion there's no need for an elaborate break in on these engines. I put mine on the bike and gently ride for a minute or so to warm it up then give it hell. Break in is then complete. After about 10-15 minutes of run time the oil gets changed.
Will painting the block like that not make it run hot? I didn't think you were ever supposed to paint cooling fins

Hello, I'm curious, what is the purpose of running a hose between the valve cover and the top crankcase breather?
It's vents the crank case and frees up power

No there's an oil catch can pay attention
He vents the crankcase to the head which has another vent going to an oil catch can.
@@IRWIZ4RD OK, but the crank case and the valve cover are really the same cavity (the crank case). so the line between the 2 does nothing. IF there were 2 separate hoses going to the catch can, then venting would be increased. But I know, it doesnt really matter, because the point of this build is just about adding bling, doodads, and trinkets.

Heat sheild my ass, that air guide should be modified and reinstalled. In fact, I'd be inclined to ask why the rest of the barrel was not enclosed in air guide...AIR COOLED ENGINE, dipshit kid....A lot of sketchy shit going on here
Not a huge deal but take that metal governor gear off the crank if it's not used. Free mass reduction.

Hey udid hemi piston with +40 rod? How well does that run? I want more power than bolt on stuff and 22lb springs, want a cam to help power without crazy Mods To do it,any suggestions?

I was told not use a guide plate for push rods
You need them with the stock rockers. Here he's using Champion rockers which do not need the guide plate. Very good choice for around $25.
When your doing the valve spring do you need to take of the spark cable

I just did this last night....i used 22lb springs.....it took me a lot longer, fat fingers, had to have my helper hold the keepers while i pressed the springs down. you guys make it look soo easy...

It’s catches any blow by oil before it damages your fuel pump/carburettor
i’m not sure if your going to see this but can you please do a parts break down video of everything to chose to have the most power for a predator 212cc non hemi engine cause i want to do the stage 4 kit but idk what to chose and there’s no video talking about this
Go on go power sports and where it says stage 4 for tiltson or Hemi look for the non hemi one if that makes sense lmk if you need more help
