We're a big family that loves to camp! We thought it would be fun to review and share some of our favorite camping products and ideas!

Core 12 Tent take down
มุมมอง 26K8 ปีที่แล้ว
We have yet to find a hard sided container big enough to store it. We are currently storing it in the cardboard shipping box it came in. After collapsing it, you lay it on it's side and then roll it to remove the excess air. Then it goes down to about 4'2" x 13" x 13". We're thinking of getting one of those big plastic garden storage benches from Sam's Club and just keeping it in the enclosed t...
Coleman Hot Water on Demand (HWOD) review
มุมมอง 188K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Part of our camping kitchen set up includes two bus bin tubs, a hose sprayer nozzel from walmart, and a Coleman HWOD system. We camp for weeks at a time occasionally so disposable dishes are not really a great option for us. I LOVE this unit and we've found it incredibly useful for a number of functions while camping. It's been completely reliable so far, as long as we protect it from gusts of ...

Stabilized Core Equipment 12 Person Instant Tent Review
มุมมอง 9K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Our family of 8 recently replaced our Alaknak with this tent. I wanted to see more details before purchasing but couldn't find a review with those details. So, now that it's here, I made my own review. I did add one more segment with the rain fly off.

A quick thanks ! I bought a used one. It is missing parts. No instructions. Thank you for giving me this evergreen content.
I never been camping before. So I bought my tent and I should’ve watched this video before tearing it down. You guys made it way too simple thank you.
Thank you
This tent has to be nearly perfectly level with no way to adjust.
I love early mornings to watch the sunrise! This little thing has a great heat output th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAvrAfikbUEMthp3AZ6iX5FKdiHfzy_RP . I sit in my rocker, warm, and watch the sunrise! It's great for travel as well. Just stow and go. Love this thing! For hunters, I've heard that they also make a little hood so that it focuses the heat a bit more if you have to sit further away. Just a heads up. It's so easy and quick to set up and get going.
What that’s it how do you roll the mess
Can i plug it into 20lbs propone tank ?
I wanted to see them roll that mess
I'm looking at reviews of this tent and there is another channel that has presented this video as their own. "Emma's Corner"
Thanks so much for letting me know! I found it and reported it. I don't know whether to be flattered or offended! 😂
I know this is an older video, but i would like to add me two bits. This tent is excellent for less windy trips, don't try and do stormy weather in this tent as the pop-up nature will just as easiely pop right back down if it gets wet and windy enough. mine collapsed just today during a fairly mild storm front. Also at 4 mins and 4 seconds that darker strip is the slip the rod needs to be slid through. perhaps you've already discovered that.
I'm trying to figure out why core is more expensive than Ozark trail. I just bought a 10 person Ozarks trail dark rest tent . It's a great tent but wondering if core is that much better due to its higher price. I would return my ozark tent and get a core tent if it's that much better
Hi is the roof mesh or plastic, because. It looks good but is it waterproof without the top cover over it,as I’m thinking that could get freezing even with the top cover on it I live in England so rains most of the time lol xxxx
To confirm it does not require electricity to operate?
it needs electricity to run the pump.
Excellent review 👏 👌 question how did it do in the rain?
It did great while we had it but it's been a couple of years ago. I think it lasted a solid 4 or 5 years before one of the hinges broke.
How many square pads are needed to cover the floor by chance?
Honestly not sure. They are about 2'x2'.
Hi, Robin, do You know maybe where I can buy this Coleman in EU ?
Sorry, really don't have any idea. Hope you find one.
@@robinosteen5710 You could have made an affiliate sale right there.
I got mine installed permanent in my cargo trailer con and is fantastic.
how is it 3 years later?
@stig still working great
U just made my day.!!!!
Hi how did this tent fare in the rain and such ?
How has it held up since 2016?
I'd like to know too!
When you go camping during winter, how do you do it with the bottom air ventilation?
Is it just me or did I see a red Thomas Pack on the floor.
So it runs on a battery charge? How long do you have to charge it to run maybe 5 mins?
She has such a relaxing voice.
Can you hook up to a faucet.?
How long does a small tank of propane last on the lowest setting
Bought second one, and nothing just troubles First one batery was bad in new unit, les than a minute until you had to charge Second one we used for about 20 minutes twice so far and now saying what water pressure low. Batery OK, pump OK. Solution new pressure sensor
does the shower head have an on/off switch to temporarily stop the flow ?
No, it does not. Because it doesn't have a tank, if the flow stops, it shuts off the system so it doesn't over heat. Some people have mentioned installing a diverter on the hose that will recycle the water into the original water storage device. This would give you the option to stop the flow to the shower head as well as increasing the water temperature.
If one desires to briefly turn the shower off but not turn the unit off...Cut the shower hose and install a barbed "Tee" fitting, Then Install a length of additional hose on the "Tee" branch long enough to reach your water source tub. Install a small barbed ball valve on the line leading from the bottom of the "Tee" to the shower head. This way you can by-pass the shower head when desired while allowing the water to be re-circulated so you don't run out of water while the shower head is not needed while briefly lathering up.
Great tip, thanks!!!!!
None of these videos show how to get it back in the bag
There is one where I rant that it won't go back in the bag. We ended up buying a outdoor garden storage trunk that we keep in our camping trailer. All of our tents go in there because none of them ever fit back in the bag. 😂
I have one of this.. I use it last year and I was able to put it back in its bag😂
@@niurkavillanueva4724 👍🏻 would you please post a video on how to do that?
I just got mine and did a quick test setup to make sure all the parts were there and everything was working and was able to get it back in the bag fairly easily actually.
Not being able to turn off the water is crazy!! Who camps with an unlimited water source? So many better options out there.
We usually camp at state parks and have an unlimited water supply.
So, after a few years what is your thoughts on this tent? Did you like it? Do you still have it? Thanks so much!
We actually retired at about 6 months ago. It was still in great shape with a couple of small exceptions. One of the zippers began to come apart and one of the hinges wasn't functioning correctly. But This was after years of regular use by a large family with small-ish kids. The tent was not stored in ideal conditions and I'm sure that affected it. I would absolutely buy one again but we're transitioning to backpacking tents now that the kids are older. The only tent we've had that outperformed/outlasted this one was our $1300 Cabela's Alaknak.
cool
I didn't even know these things existed! Thanks for this!
Thank you for this very helpful video! I'm considering this tent for our large family.
Big thank you from Seattle. Fantastic video!
Are u the same person who had the blue ridge bay tent a few years back?
6 Kids?
Yes 😁
@@robinosteen3078 oh my goodness. That's impressive! I dont know if I could deal with that many little ones running around. I bet you have the best patience in the world !
Why do people camp outside their homes , why live in a home ? Why ? I do t understand you campers .
This fake purely-for-profit channel stole your video -- they flipped it so the algorithm wouldn't catch it: th-cam.com/video/RnjFM9_pnJo/w-d-xo.html -- and these guys: th-cam.com/video/daK-Xmj3Rcc/w-d-xo.html
How long is the bag it comes in? I’m assuming it has a carrying bag like the ozark trail tents
I'm not sure because we don't have the bag anymore. We gave up on trying to get it back in the bag after the first try. 😉
Thank you for the great review. I've been considering getting this tent due to its ventilation as well as being an instant tent. Did you find that the ventilation design really helped to keep it much cooler than most other tents, in the hot sun? We have a tent now that has no windows in the back bedroom area and has a closed roof, and it's like a sauna in there during the day time. :(
I did really feel like it had better ventilation than most tents! It was definitely our easiest and most comfortable! We just retired it a couple of months ago due to the zipper finally giving out. We actually sewed that door shut and just used the door on the other side for about 6 months. ♥️ It was such a great tent for stationary camping but now we're transitioning more into hiking so... Hopefully I'll be doing a review on our kelty six man backpacking tent soon! 😉
Great review!! Did you spray the tent with sealant to keep if from leaking? Seams like if you do that the tent isn’t breathable any more.
We did not spray it. We've had it three or four years now and it's never leaked.
@@robinosteen3078 have you used it with heavy rain?? Our tent completely flooded last year so rain resistent is a must for us
On second year using ours and just went thru big storm and stayed completely dry. Never been sprayed. Probably will at some point tho to help last longer.
Thanks for the review. Does it come with the sections to separate the tent for privacy.
Yes, it does.
just get paper plates or cups
But they go soggy when you wash them 😜
It's hard to watch a video when you keep saying, "Umm, Umm, umm a lot. Bad grammar.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm not really worried about it though, just sharing the info I can. 😁
But you still watched it didn't you? Any idea how annoying you sound? Take it up with the complaint department. I don't see any worthwhile videos on your channel. If you think you can do better, put out some content instead of wasting everyone else's time complaining on other people's content. Have a nice day.
umm.... umm.... umm. umm
Hello, Robin! We have an exciting new opportunity if you would be interested. Please email us at help@coreequipment for more details!
Does the water heater have a thermostat control for water temperature? Does the Pump have to be running continuously when the flame is lite?
The pump does have to be running or the fuel intake shuts off. It does have a temperature adjusting knob. 😁
I hope you are still around to answer this. The air vents along bottom, is there a way to keep those closed? I travel with cats and want to avoid easy clawing at mesh 😊
There is not... You could stop air flow by closing the flaps on the outside but no way to keep them sealed off from the inside.
@@robinosteen5710 ok. Thanks for the reply. 😁
Robin, I wanted to thank you for this review. I'm looking for a new tent for my family. When I saw this on amazon, I had a million questions, so I turned to TH-cam. I wish you could do reviews on every tent. Maybe it's because you are a Mom, but you covered every detail everyone else misses. Thank you for taking the time to help those of us who are searching.
