Thanks for the video. My recommendation is to run the mic to a mixer that has bass, mids and treble controls, then run the mixer to the recording interface. This gives you more natural sounding tonal control than connecting the mic directly to the recording interface or software based eq

I do not know why so many guitarists love that 57. It is a muddy compressed mess. Use a 58 or a Sennheiser e609

two loudspeakers of the same brand and model can sound significantly different, so it would be better if the test used the same speaker

If you want true modern tone out of th is amp you need to put a volume pedal in the loop (or any volume knob you can find) set the amp very loud but set the overall loudness with the pedal : it will act like a master volume and the tone will compress for metal

personally I prefer the sound of SM57

I've got the combo version. Sounds great with a tube screamer as a boost and eq in the loop.

There is nothing special about this captured audio. No point doing this for real if you cant get better audio than a modeler.

The Marshall JVM 205H is a fucking versatile amp with balls to the wall and i always liked the snarling mid's you can only get like this, from a Marshall. You can get everything out of the head, from brilliant clean, to bluesy crunch, to freakin' awesome metal from doom of death ;-). And the mesa cab speaks volumes, too. Awesome Combination :-D.
