The Martin Logan F100 tower is new from the ground up. New cabinet, Tweeter, Mid and Base Driver's. It also has new porting. The former model had rear facing ports and the F100 has two down firing ports. The weight is up to 74 lbs from 66 lbs on the Motion 60XTi. They come in three finishes Walnut, Satin White or Gloss Black. This is a 7.2.4 setup. I have 8 speakers in the ceiling. 4 Motion XTC8-HT for the side and rear surround. 4 Helos 12 for the Atmos. The front L & R are Martin Logan Motion XT F100's and a Motion XT C100 center. The subs are the Martin Logan Dynamo 800X subs with 10" drivers. Please like and subscribe.

This video shows a little more detail of my Home Theater. I have used Audio Quest Cinnamon HDMI Cables and Audio Quest Red River RCA cables for the amplifier. I used AUDTEK speaker wire. 10 Gauge for the LCR speakers and 12g for the 4 surround and 4 Atmos. I have an ATI 1823 3 channel amp running the the LCR speakers and there is a Ferman Elite 20PFI power conditioner. The front LR are Martin L...
Martin Logan Home Theater, Dynamo 800X Subs
มุมมอง 3493 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video shows my Martin Logan Dynamo 800X Subs. These subs do a great job for their price and size. The App has ARC room correction and other features. I first used the Denon room correction and then used the ARC correction. It definitely helped with my room acoustics being what they are. Thanks. Please like and subscribe.
Martin Logan XTC8-HT and Helos 12 Home Theater Install
มุมมอง 1503 หลายเดือนก่อน
Just a quick video of my ceiling speaker install. I did not take a lot of time doing this. I wanted to get these installed so I apologize. I have been adding sound foam in places and adding rugs to help the sound in this room. Will also be adding some sound absorbing panels on the walls if the wife will allow it. LOL But what I have done already has helped a lot. The speaker wire I used is AUDT...

This is my Home Theater, and my first TH-cam video. I will get better as I go, but I hope you like it. I paid for all equipment. No manufacturer sent me anything. This is a 7.2.4 setup. I have 8 speakers in the ceiling. 4 Motion XTC8-HT for the side and rear surround. 4 Helos 12 for the Atmos. The front L & R are Martin Logan Motion XT F100's and a Motion XT C100 center. Hi! I have question with the kept R 11 meta . If you use a dual subwoofer do you think the bass will geeatly improve.? I have 2 Rel 1508 Predator for hometheater use.
Not familiar with those subs. Sorry
@@HomeTheaterBeginner My bad The comment I put was from another video I just watched. I'm debating actually which one to get between Kef and ML. . Thanks for the reply. You've got a nice system.

No rear channel speakers in the setup?
This is a 7.2.4 setup. I have 8 speakers in the ceiling. 4 Motion XTC8-HT for the side and rear surround. 4 Helos 12 for the Atmos. @@HomeTheaterBeginner Awesome! I will take a look at your other videos as well. Thanks.
With your F100's do you tilt it at all with the feet to get the tweeters to ear level? Also are they bright/ear fatiguing?
No tilt. They sound great. No ear fatigue. You should demo these somewhere, you may hear it differently. With long movies and listening to music for a few hours, I just really enjoy these. Thanks Please like and subscribe.
Great content 👌 👏 👍 Quick question, which wood cabinet is that & how big is your tv 🤔 that looks like my absolute dream setup 😍.. also how do those subs compare to svs 🤔 Thanks keep up the great content 👏 👌 👍
The cabinet was custom made and the company has closed unfortunately. The TV is an 83" LG OLED. Have not compared SVS to these subs. Glad you like the Chanel, please like and subscribe.
Are you using DIRAC? Thinking about going with this vs a Marantz cinema 40. With the money I save I could even get a 3 channel amp.
I contemplated the same thing and went with the Denon 4800. The C40 and the 4800H are almost clones. Look at them with the top off. They use the same components for the most part. Just a few minor differences. I am not using Dirac yet. I may in the future but the standard Audyssey that comes free with the Denon AVR worked well. Then I used the Martin Logan app to adjust the subs for my room. I would go with the Denon and a good 3 channel amp. Hope you will subscribe
@@HomeTheaterBeginner thanks!
Wish we could have afforded this; picked up an X2800 to replace an old Onkyo TX-SR605, and frankly, the Onkyo was more impressive in many ways. The Denons don't start coming with aluminum faces and knobs until you reach the model you have - I don't think that was a smart business move, because even the 2800 costs upwards of $1K.... for that money, you SHOULD get metal, not plastic. I also think the Onkyo house sound is brighter and more aggressive than the Denon - the 2800 sounds warmer and more laid back. Because we're only running a 5.1 system, I'm also disappointed in the way these upmixers work - a lot to get into here.
As I told another person. I has an Onkyo Hi end receiver. I did like it but went with a Marantz instead on my next system. I did like it but the Marantz SR8015 did struggle to power all channels at a high volume. If you search videos on the net, you can fine a video from a German engineer at Denon. He covers some of the differences between the 3800 and 4800. There are a few features to help quality of sound. That is why I went with the 4800. I must say, I did like the Onkyo I had, but this Denon is every bit as good. And the Atmos movies are stunning. Also I have used my own money on all of this. None of this was sent to me as a trial from a manufacturer. And I am very happy with my choices. Hope that helps. I hope people will like and subscribe.
Heard them at a store and they sound good. Congratulations
Every penny spended on martin logan really worth it dear sir ❤❤❤❤
I was so wondered to hear a demo from air motion transformers tweeter same was introduced in 20th century by Dr Oskar Heil ✌
I'm looking at the F200 for the additional bass, but this review is helpful. Thanks. How much do the subs weigh, that they are moving when the volume is turned up?
The Martin Logan Dynamo 800X subs weigh 30 lbs. I have put an additional 50LBS on them and they still moved a little at high volume. I will probably be putting one more Granite tile on top.You can't go wrong with the 200's but the 100's saved me a little and I used that savings on the amp. I really feel this amp made a big difference compared to my last system. These speakers are 4 ohm and give the AVR's a work out. Even though the are very efficient speakers, I believe you need to pair a good amp with the Front 3 channel's at a minimum.
@@HomeTheaterBeginner Thanks for the reply. I have McIntosh monoblocks so power won't be an issue, but is the ML's imaging as good as I hear? I'm thinking it is, but someone with experience can give first-hand info.
@@charlesf2804 I do believe imaging is great! McIntosh would also help the sound. As I have said in the Vids. These sound great. I compared these with a number of other speakers. I just don't see how anything compares at these prices. The differences were small, and as I have worked on setup and room correction they just get better. When I listen to Ballads, or symphony music the reproduction is awesome. Again I do like higher volume. At 65-85 this setup comes to life. Thanks
I have a pair of Motion XT B100s and the C100. I have been waiting for the F100s to go on sale for about a year. I am still waiting. I use a BasX-3A amp from Emotiva for my front sound stage. After getting the F100s, they will go to my front sound stage and the B100s will be my side surrounds. Later, I will get another pair of B100s for my rear surrounds and 4 MP10s for my Atmos speakers. I have an Onkyo RZ50 AVR.
You have a great start on the system. I actually considered the BasX-3A for my system. It has a toroidal hi current power supply. This is what you need with to help reduce the load on the internal amps in the AVR. Especially with 4 ohm speakers. I also had looked at the Onkyo RZ50 before buying the Denon X4800H. The issue was the RZ50 was on back order when I wanted to buy it. I believe the RZ50 already had Dirac at no extra cost which is a huge plus! Not to mention Onkyo AVR's just have a great sound! I also had a TXNR 5010 Onkyo AVR before I bought my Marantz SR8015. The only reason I updated the AVR was for newer features, otherwise it sounded great. I have also had a Denon 3805 in the distant past which sounded very good at the time. I will say I am very happy with the Denon and it seems that the Heos App will now connect wireless from an iPhone to the Denon in Hi Res, no additional hardware needed. Still looking into this though. Thanks for the interest. Let me know if you get your F100's they are an amazing value. They just sound better every time I listen.
Thanks for this latest upload! I’m subscribed to your channel as this is the exact setup I’m saving up for. If it’s not too difficult perhaps you could consider showing us a little demo on your next upload? Very curious to hear the F100’s and 800x subs combined for home cinema. I get that TH-cam demos pale in comparison to the real thing, but I still love them, and there are almost none online with the Martin Logans. Keep up the good work!
I may try to record something but my recording equipment is very basic. I will tell you that the subs are great for the money. While my wife was out I put Top Gun Maverick in and turned it up to 85 on the AVR. This was loud! It was great but these subs need more weight. I now have 50 ponds on them and they moved again at this volume. Not a lot but they did move. The drivers in these subs are moving a lot! It looks like they have a new series coming out soon. So these will most likely be discounted in the near future.
What were your "last gen" towers? curious to see what the F100 was upgraded from?
The Motion 60XTI They were also good but these are better. I am working on another video for the F100's and I will talk about the other speakers I compared the F100's to before making the decision to buy. Thanks
Great video! Keep’ ‘em coming! I’m Martin Logan obsessed at the moment….
Thanks hope to have some more soon.
