The coating is most important with P90 mags, it helps with cycling the rounds through the magazine and making that 90° turn at the follower, the neck of the cartridge stretches with extraction too, ive noticed its slightly different with each platform
Does annealing the brass allow you to load to higher pressures?
I went to the website and can not find any warranty information. How good of a warranty do they have?
It's in the "terms of use" area of the website
Mine will be here this week.
🙈 *Promosm*
The EP annealer fits just right for my style/process of hand loading. I would like one of your loading bocks. They look cool.
I got their block a few months back. it is awesome! I'm sure you've seen plenty about it, but I have a few shorts showing it off and featured in a couple of my reloading videos. If you have not got one yet, I highly recommend it!! So great to secure the brass so it's not wobbling around in a standard type block!
This method looks great except I use range brass so I have to anneal by the glow because every case varies in thickness. As long as I get the glow the same my concisisty is pretty good. NOT as good as yours but accetable.
How many times can i Aneal a piece of brass before it’s considered destroyed? Also, what type of butane do you use?
I had reloaded for 55 years. Never annealed. Watched F Class John’s review of this product. Bought one nine months ago. Have since annealed probably 1,400 cases. It is awesome. Quality product. Easy to use. Prolongs case life. Increases accuracy by providing more uniform neck tension.
Thanks for sharing!
Are the cases Sized/Trimmed prior to Annealing?
Awesome video! Thank you for doing this!
Our pleasure!
I’ve been annealing 5.7 brass with EP 2.0 for almost a year now. It works the same as with other cartridges. Just gotta remove the coating from 5.7 brass before hand, otherwise it makes a stinky mess.
That's great! Are you seeing any reliability issues with the coating removed? Or are you re-coating it with something else after brass processing?
@@instructorh6708 I don’t see any issues shooting subsonic loads with uncoated brass. And I shoot subsonic suppressed 90% of the time. Though for supersonic loads I keep the coating on.
@@alexandersakharov1908 Nice! Which platforms are you using the round for? I'm curious if the no coating works reliably for FNH 5.7 platforms.
@@instructorh6708 I shoot 16” CMMG AR 15 platform chambered in 5.7.
Does annealing the brass allow you to load beyond the 50,038 max pressure
awesome demo Todd.... One more reason to pick up one of these great annealers....
YES! thank you! :)
So glad there is not a hopper on the EP. You make a great point that you still have to handle the brass to load the hopper.
100%!
check out www.epintegrations.com for more details! :)
You had me until you said 6.5 fagmoor . No thanks.
interesting lube method using One Shot. Most things I see say you need to almost saturate the brass or it's gonna stick.
It's the fastest and easiest way I've found and the imperial case wax mixes in with the one shot = very consistent headspace bumps and no hydraulic dimples
Got one of these on special offer a few weeks ago and got this going in about 10 minutes with great results!!! Worth every penny!!!
Love ❤️ it! 🔥
Can I use this machine without test brass? I don’t have test brass. During these times of scarce supplies, I shoot my brass until it cracks.
Once you get the hang of it it only takes me about 5 to 10pcs and you can use them over and over. It's not that hard nor expensive to get 10 extra pcs of brass
Just bought mine, should arrive here in the next day or so, im suuuuper excited
Hope you enjoy it!
I have one Way Cool Great tool
Awesome 👌!!
Way Cool annealer I got one One of the best tool I own.
IMO it should be annealed before anything.
I anneal before resizing
Question for you where did you get the steel pins.. I have the regular pins that most new reloaders get.
Southern shine media
Just ordered one 20 minutes ago lol. Man I cannot wait to use this, so tired of the brass in the drill method Update: This thing is great! Very consistent
FANTASTIC 👍 👍
I've never had any trouble doing it in a cookie sheet & water, u dont want to heat it to glowing, just to discolor it to black😊
Definitely, everyone has their own opinions when it comes to reloading for sure.
Wow! The simplest and most robust flame-type annealer I've seen yet...and the results are great! The lack of feeding hopper brings the size down to half of other manufacturers' machines 👍
Glad you liked it!
Is it made in the USA
Everything from the case, milled aluminum, and assembled in the USA. Electronics are not.
Great video.. saving up my money to get one soon. On the site it looks like it's just the annealer correct or does it come with everything else like the gas hold ? let me know might push to get one sooner if all these items come in a bundle.
We keep the torch head loose to keep it fast when adjusting from cartridge to carrier.
Got mine two weeks ago. It’s awesome. Love it.
Awesome!
Hey Tod, EP Annealer was delivered a few days ago and alls good. Packing was excellent no damage in the shipping. I consider myself a hand loader. I don’t have the money for all the bells and whistles for the top of the line equipment. But I do the best with what I can afford. Your Annealer is one of the best pieces of equipment I have now! I have been annealing with a cordless drill. It worked but truly was a hillbilly machine. I did some .270 Win this morning with the EP and was a pleasurable experience. Much more consistent. Money well spent. Thanks for your help. A. C. Martin
Awesome!!! Love it!
I am currently hillbilly annealing too with a drill and same torch setup. Really consider buying this anealer affordable compared to most.
@@mosesjackson4203 The EP Annealer is the way to go. I did some 30-30 brass for a Savage 340 yesterday and is way more user friendly than my hillbilly Annealer. The EP looks way cool on my bench.
Nice!!! Way to lengthen brass life 🙌
Just ordered one today. Give ole F-Class some credit he made a good video on the EP. Can't wait to try it.
Just ordered, thank you!
Awesome!
How about shipping to Australia?
Yup, check out the details under the annealer listing www.epintegrations.com
I have to say this video is far the best i have watched. I'm a new reloader and I been spending time watching all kind of videos on headspace and it's always missing something. Some video show you and some don't.. plus setting up the dies most reloader already have them setup. You answered 99% of my questions on how to resize them and set my die. I know this video is old but still has a lot of good info for me. Keep up the great work. i will have watch your whole series now.
Thank you!!
I’ve never seen the red base for the bump gauge. Where’d you get that? Thanks for the informative video. Subscribed
Got it off midway usa
@@EPIntegrations thanks. I’ll have a look. Doubt I can get it up to Canada without loosing a nut lol
I can only think of using this for pistol brass none of them on the market are able to get the small brass all the way out to the flame until I see this one. Totally unnecessary but I uniform the flash hole and trim them too so why not play them with the annealer too?
I personally don't anneal pistol brass unless it was a bottle neck type casing
It's a great product from what I've seen of it. Definitely a time saver to say the least. Will eventually buy one when my budget allows me to.
If you are the kind of loader that puts powder in all the cartridges first, this tray ROCKS!!! If you only load one case at a time this tray is still very nice but it does not take advantage of its main locking feature.
Just ordered an annealer yesterday and I had a tracking number the same day! Thank you sir!
Should be shipping out here soon!
@@EPIntegrations Happy to hear it. Have a bunch of .223/5.56 and .30-06 that will be getting annealed ASAP.
You’ve designed a great product Elfster 👍. There are nothing but positive benefits in annealing ones brass cases.
100%! Thanks!
Fantastic informative series, thank you I learned a lot.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great to hear!
My first annealer
Love ❤️ it! 🔥
Have had my EP Integrations annealer for about 8 months. Very easy to use and adjust. I can say without reservation, my rifle brass is definitely lasting longer. With the price of components so high this really makes a difference. Would purchase this unit again without hesitation.
Yes! Agreed!
Congrats to David! Won a beautiful piece there!!
If you anneal range pick-ups...sort by headstamp. Years and even scamp marks if you want. Anneal cases together in those batches. You'll find that the glow will happen at different lengths of time depending on brand. Neck thickness is a factor as well. Combine as many of those variables as possible and anneal those batches together so that the time/speed is accurate for those cases in the batch. You will reap the benefits of consistency in the sizing process.
my dad back in the 70s had a lot of 30-06 military brass which he necked down to 25-06 ,, he would stand them up in a pan of water turn the lights off and when they would glow tip them over ,, i use to shoot a lot of it ,, few times i would get a neck crack , one time it blew the floor plate open ! bad news i got shit blown in my face and eyes ,, I'm currently dissasembling them ,, I'm nor sure if it was from tipping them over into water made them hard or what ,, think ill just throw the brass out , hate throwing it out with how hard it is and costly to replace,,,, jim
