Cool.
Thats a very nice collection. Is your youtube channel retired?
Great looking knife 😎 Love the stag bone. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Love the canoe knives from rough rider, got a early white bone (can’t remember the model number) that I love 😍 Love that leather sheath 😎 Thanks for sharing buddy 👍🏻
Watching three years after it posted but just wanted to say great first video! 👍
i like that so i'll be getting one if they're still around, the video is 2 years old so i might be outta luck
not out of luck, i got it in the mail this morning and i love the thing, except the stainless pins kinda stick out a little bit on one side
So I keep asking everybody. What makes the GEC knife cost so much more than the Rough Ryder knives? It can't be quality. Both are capable of putting out near perfect fit and finish. Is it the materials and the steel quality?
Question: why are the nail nicks on the same side of both blades...it appears that the smaller blade blocks the larger blades ???
The Rough Ryder brand knives have had all of the combinations with regards to nail nicks and blade configuration. The older versions have small blade in front of Larger blade and nail nicks are both on the same side. Many complaints arose as a result of nail nicks being blocked but if you check out the new “Wasp” series, you will find that the small blade is on the back of the knife and nail nicks face outward towards the covers. Also blade steel is VG-10 which some consider an upgrade. Thanks for viewing. Best Regards
The stockman is my favorite pattern in a traditional folder. I think it has the most useful blades.
With cheaper knives, any flaws can be overlooked as long as the knife functions and is still looks good. With more expensive knives, smallest flaws make you want to return it. Smaller knife makers who make quality knives will stand by their work and go out of their way to accept returns and make replacements. With mass production companies like Case, it is a hit and miss with quality and service. When I get a Rough Ryder knife, I don't realy have high expectations and if I keep getting bad knives, I just simply stop buying them. But if I were to order a Case knife and it was a bad knife, I would be aggravated. And that would ruin the entire hobby for me. There is absolutely no excuse for any premium knife company to allow a flawed product out for their factory. IMO.
I love the stockman pattern. I feel like it has the most useful blades. Carving, cutting, poking, slicing, ...it covers it all. Love it.
I ordered a Rough Ryder Bone jig peanut and it has a different shield....... are they the same knife?
It may not be the same knife. Pattern number is RR 1808
@@haveaknifeday6253 The SKU is RR110 on mine that I ordered. O.O what does that mean????? Not all Peanuts are equal?
I just whittled a spoon with that Classic Carbon sway back whittler. Loved it. Really enjoyed using it.
by the way, I made a video making the spoon with my Rough Rider Carbon Classic yellow whittler. :-)
I will have to check that out
hmm...interesting. I just carved a spoon with the Carbon Classic yellow Whittler and I noticed that my fingers had black stains that was in contact with the scales. But the scales are yellow so I wonder why my fingers have black stain. Weird. But the knife whittled very satisfactory. :-) Glad SMKW backs up these knives. Another great reason to go with these knives. Budget knives with high end backing. Love them.
I am subscribing you.
Simply superb +1 subscriber
Good vid. I think these are little difficult to get now.
That is one nice collection. Thanks for sharing.
Canoes are my favorite traditional pattern knives. Thanks for sharing.
Nice review. Rough Rider knives are a great value. Thanks for sharing.
That's what I'm screaming -- I hate when I read reviews about "for the money." As if the money you paid for it matters so little, if it's under $20. That's bull. And, look across the web and YT: it's a great knife. At any price.
I like the Bow Trapper pattern. I may get this one and the Canoe 🛶
Man that's a fat puppy
I guess I didn’t think the stroke of luck pocket knife was gimmicky at all in fact I really liked it. The Rams Horn one is to be coveted. LOL, you have a new subscriber here thank you for your great video. Keep it up. Luke
Kershaw Culpepper carry for work and outdoors Next stop RR Barlow
I'm digging the canoe style
My first canoe was a red jig bone RR
Jesus loves you all Bless you and your family's Cool chanel Bro !

The shamrock is a 3 leaf clover and it's rare I believe and for luck.
🤩
Love the copper RR, gives it a shine you don't see a lot of.
Glad to see you back!
It's a "No Brainer", Rough Rider (or Ryder) knives are the Biggest Bang for your $$$....Period!
I agree… my collection of Rough Ryders is approaching 120 and very few of them have been bad. They meet my needs and don’t break the bank. Thanks for watching.
@@haveaknifeday6253 I'm sittin' @ about 85 of em'...great bargains (a lot of em = to or better than some of the newer Case knives I have)!
My wife said dang you want more knives???? Lol you showed me 2 that I will have soon. The red peanut and the black cherry bone dog leg canoe. Those are beautiful knives to me.
I think their bumping up prices..
Gay
Have to say not sold on your face as backdrop, do you not have a desk or table?
You gotta get back into it bud!!!! There are some hot RR’s comin out!!!!!!
On the coal miner its a rams foot not sheep's foot.
I like RR canoes, have a couple of older ones. They are a little small in hand - wish they were a bit bigger. Guess I need to track down a gunboat. Nice sheath!
That's an awesome collection. I think l will try making some wall mounts like yours, they look great.
That is a nice looking knife. And yes SMKW does back their knives. They are a great company.
Just ordered this one. I already have the Pen Blade Trapper and love it.
Love them Barlow knives, thanks for sharing.
Yeah me too... I have 17 Barlow’s and 13 are Rough Ryders. Appreciate you stopping by.
Eureka Jack is wonderful, although with rough rider you can almost get the whole classic carbon range if you want the 1095 style blade material
Let’s go hop Back in!!!!!!! Come on you can do it!!!! 😀
Your falling behind........ there comin out with some cool RR knives you better hurry!!!!!!
I really like the look of that coal miner and the yellow Whittler.
