I do my best to rebuild this Rollcage. Starting life in another Willys and being redesigned for mine. Making mistakes to learn from and become a better fabricator! finishing and testing our off-road worthy utility trailer

taking about 3 days, I meet a new challenge to finish a simple task.
Can we make this utility trailer off-road worthy!?

in this episode, we address the tongue jack.
Why did you even remove the steering wheel considering you were removing the column, too?
I removed the wheel to pull the column through the floor. It was easier this way since the rest of the jeep was already apart.
Running a black steering wheel and column on a desert jeep is a hot choice.
I've never in my life revved an engine to increase steering assist. Never heard of it either. Standard power steering pumps are belt driven. Their speed is regulated by pulley sizes. They have internal bypass valves.
can you get a 2 holed knuckle off old willys truck
I have heard about the two hole. Which i think would be another great avenue for a project like this and would save a lot of time.
have a question ? i was told that type of system is not road legal ! hopen i was told wrong cause i wanna use on my build can ya hopefully shed some light on that please ! ty
I would think that would be a state law thing. But I have never heard it not being road legal.
Good job Willy D
Thanks my man!
Where did you get the 3d prints? Love the build!
I found this set on eBay. This set came from seller T-rex offroad. I would consider it very good quality. Just make sure that when you order, you get the right size.
Safety id move the torch away from the electric box
maybe i missed it, which steering box is this?
This steering box is out of a 2003 Sonoma. Used in a variety of vehicles.
I put same setup on my 2a. have not tested it but it should be great. I purchased a controller for the pump to manually change the pressure/rpm. others have done it with success.
I have also purchased the controller from reform motorsports. should be coming up in a future video. It makes me feel better knowing I'm not the first to try this. 👍
Hey bub it's Joe Everly. PPE is important man great job on the PPE. The cope on the roll cage great job man
Thanks my man!
tire on back ! take weight of rear fender
Put the spare in the bed. Maybe use the old spare tire rack for Rotopax stuff or something similar.
This is something that has crossed my mind. Since it has the stock 13 gallon tank and a very questionable fuel gauge.
Tire on the bed but more of an angle
That's one vote for the bed, thanks!
Love the headband. Murica!!
87 degrees hot. Weak 🤣🤣
The best PPE in my opinion comes from 3M. I dont get paid by them, I'm just a huge fan of all their stuff. I've used a lot of different brands through the years and for the last 10 years I've been only using 3m for everything. Their reps have came to shops I've worked at and fitted everyone for safety glasses and respirators. All their stuff is top notch. When your wearing the safety glasses you should only have a max of an 1/8" space anywhere around your face. If you have more anywhere, try a different style. if they touch your face too much they will fog. Spend the money to get what works best because you cant buy new eyes.
Agreed 3M is all we use at my day job. When you get hurt, you feel dumb. when you get hurt wearing cheap gear, you feel cheap and really dump.
Willy, I like your channel so far ! Keep it up!😊
Thanks! More to come soon
Everyone talks shit on PPE until the day they wish they used it. I rock safety glasses for most things, goggles when there is any wetness to what I'm working on. Gloves are a must, those Mechaix gloves work great for me. I swear I use more PPE at my own house than I do at work.
Yeah, it's all fun and games until the safety Squints don't work
hey will, so happy to see you happy, be well
Thanks my man! Hope all is well with you too.
I enjoyed your video and the fun editing too…
Wow! Great video!!!!
This dude knows his shit!
A lot better than people named John that's for sure. Get to work.
