Mature nymph emerges, and molts into winged adult. Complete Cicada Metamorphosis in 5 min.
I watched this guy crawling up the door jam and had the bright idea of recording a Cicada emerging. 5 hrs later I was still recording. This video is ran straight through at x64 speed so you can watch my sleep deprivation experiment in 5 minutes.
The video came out pretty nice. You can see the complete metamorphosis with the walk off.
Alexandria Virginia
Fun Facts:
They typically live above ground for about four weeks.
Female cicadas can lay up to 400 eggs divided among dozens of sites-generally in twigs and branches.
Cicada brood remains in the twigs for 6-10 weeks before hatching.
Cicadas belong to the order Hemiptera, suborder Auchenorrhyncha, superfamily Cicadoidea and families Cicadidae

We went down to Mason Neck State Park to get some sun do a little bit of fishing. I came across a fat water snake that I haven't seen there before. One looks like a Ratsnake, but I don't know what that fat brown one is. So once again, I'm going to ask for some help from TH-cam. Snake 1..... ? Snake 2. Northern Watersnake Snake 3 My guess... Ryobi Power Washer 2900 psi wouldn't start. Piston Rod Shattered.

There are plenty of videos about troubleshooting your power washer. This really isn't one of those. Just a word of advice. Don't forget to check the compression. This engine wasn't locked up. The crankshaft would turn as expected when pulling the starting cord. Because the engine felt like it was turning freely and I made the mistake of assuming it was OK. After spending the time going through ...

1983 Goldwing GL1100 Tachometer Noise Fix
มุมมอง 3.9K5 ปีที่แล้ว
The tachometer on my 1983 Goldwing GL1100 started making a whining noise, but was completely functional. I was hoping I could get away with just lubing up the cable, but it didn't fix the sound... so I took it apart and lubricated the shaft from the inside with penetrating oil. It sounds like it it fixed the problem.

You forced the nastiest fluid in the system upstream...why not crack a bleeder or st least bleed afterwards? The pins need to be cleaned and lubed, the outer oad wearing was the clue and it will be worse next time. Get a torque wrench. Yitanium 😂

I installed the same rotors and pads. My biggest concern is the brake surface rusting. But the brake surface rusted, pitted and completely wore out a set of ceramic brake pads in 11 months/9,000 miles. I'm just looking for a rotor with better rust resistance in the metal itself, not a coating on top. Super bummed with PowerStop.

Great video very helpful. Cautionary note, check the drive where the cable enters the tacho for driveability and maybe spin over the tacho using a drill before attempting to dismantle. Look in the light holes to observe the condition of the tacho internals as it is a job to open the sealing crimped band and then get it back together as there is a sealing rubber gasket that requires compression on rebuild. As the guy says got it back together, not perfect. Mine is now the same as his, a bit bodged and applied glue to the band to stop hopefully any contamination.

You could leave top or bottom bolt in place and rotate the caliper off of the rotor after collapsing the piston in the caliper and after you remove some of the brake fluid out of the brake master with a turkey baster. I use a C-clamp and an old brake shoe to push the piston in. You might want to clean any rust and chunks of rust between the caliper and hub. So she sits nice and flat no vibration.

For safety sake use a jack stand to hold up the car. That hydralic jack could fail and down comes your car. The fact one pad wore down to the bare metal means your caliper is hanging up. At 2:17 that slide pin needs lubricating. That's your problem. You should have even wear bwtn both pads. You also didn't lube the contact points of the brake pads that sit in the caliper.

    • @ab7rs
      @ab7rs 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

Not necessarily even wear but never the outboard wearing faster. Definitely a poor brake job for a number of reasons.

This is great video and it made my repair much easier. I didn't pull my tacho apart I just removed the two nuts and undid the cable. I turned the tacho over and dropped a bit of gear oil into where the cable goes and turned it about a bit with a small screwdriver. Put it all back together and the whining is gone. I suggest you try this before pulling the gauge apart as it only took 15 mins to complete this task.

Walking the dog, or any activity when your head is fairly stable works best for a clear usable video.
