HI So I purchased 2 items recently the A40s astro headset new gen Black xbox edition and last month the astro mixamp pro like in this video. When I mute my headset the game sound echoes through to my party chat which is not ideal since I'm a part time streamer. I have the new incline mute cable do you reckon I should get the same incline mute cable as seen in your video?
I can't talk in party. It just says "can't find mic" Edit:Nevermind had to turn it on

Thanks for explaining the set up for us. I have a question though if you could please clarify. I bought these back in 2017 and have always noticed that the headset doesn’t have directional audio for footsteps. It always seems as if gunfire is always very loud and close. I have not connected it to my PC for updates. Think this could be the issue? I’ll try switching it to tournament mode as well. Thanks in advance for your time.

Blink nothing you can use it for both but I believe black is technically for the ps4

Miyagi l l bc you want it to play through your headset only not your tv/monitor. Do stereo uncompressed if you'd like. Double sound just annoys me.
Anyone else have the issue where you have to unplug the usb from your xbox everytime you restart your xbox in order for the mic to work?
Thee Mokotarish just turn the mic on and off and it should reconnect

I know this is really late and I hope someone can help me out, I’ve owned this same headset for about 3 years now and noticed that the white coloring around the headset has been fading to a tan color. If someone can tell me why or something it would be appreciated

It made me download an app and pay like $11 to use it but it was no big deal. They sound amazing and have been working perfectly.

Slay Safe175 Just bought it and the mic will not assign to my profile, therefore I can’t talk to anyone. I’ve updated the firmware but still won’t work. They’re great headphones but until they resolve this issue I wouldn’t recommend them.

Doesnt work. You cant talk. Party chat says no headset is used. I can hear game and people but it says I dont have a microphone.
Whirling Music that's because your headset isn't connected. Once you connect it should work.
@@lukewarmdec6471 It is. Its connected. It works on pc. I unplugged from pc and plugged to xbox. Says "we can find a microphone for these people". I held down the power button till it turnt red. Console mode. Doesnt work. When I plug a earbud in the controller, it works. But i want a40 to work

im looking into buying these headphones and using them for both PC and Xbox. If i have the optical cable plugged into my xbox but the USB plugged into my pc, would i still get audio from my xbox seeing as the mixamp would be in console mode?
@@declanthomas502 i did more research on it. apparently it works fine you just have to connect both the optical cable and the USB cable to the pc. Fiddle with the settings on the PC and it should work fine, but once you turn your xbox one the optical cable takes priority.
