The current is going away from the boat??? I don't have a clue what that statement is supposed to mean or how it would even be possible for the currant to be going away from the boat unless you are sitting over a dam discharge port. your sound is horrible.

cool video and nice rig! i have a 94 alumacraft superhawk 1542 side console with a 2021 suzuki 30hp. was getting 30-31 mph with stock prop, getting about 28-29 with a solas prop.

Need to lose the prop and get a jet foot for where i go. The pods/steps on the back are cool though

I have the same motor it takes like 15 or more pulls to first start it but starts up first pull after it’s warm do you have any similar problems? I use internal tank for right now while I look for an external one.

I wonder if their a limit fir dingily at 25- and struggle for 26.I've seen about 6 boat all peak out their, and and the smaller one peak at 10-11 mph.but the Suzuki so quiet, more nosy than the Yamaha

Nice boat, awesome motor. Thats the same speed i get with a 500lb 16ft Deep V and new 25 Mercury, the 11p is matched perfect for it. Yours is lighter, and Suzuki's are suppose to rev a little higher/more top speed so Im sure u could hit almost 30mph with a 12p prop.

I have a 1232 with a 5hp Briggs and Stratton and I only get 8-10 mph idk why but I may need to upgrade to a 6hp

How does it compare to the old Yamaha 30 with regard to top speed? I just tried my new DF25A on my a Zodiac. Same prop as you, topped out at 26 mph and 5600 rpm. It would be interesting to hear the results with the 13" prop you mentioned. The DF25A is a very nice motor but I'm not impressed with the performance of mine so far. It performs just like the DF20A.

what do you think the stainless propeller is better? I will have a 5.5m (roughly 18ft) long Jon Boat. Same with the outboard motor as yours. What propeller would you recommend? thanks🙂

Hello SB from Middle Georgia, I have a 1448 Triton Jon Boat I'm building decks, flooring and other mods , My lovely wife got me a brand new 15hp electric Mercury for Fathers Day =) and I was worried if it was enough to push the boat, Well your video answered that, Now I can't wait to hit the water this fall, I live just off I-75 too, way north of you and I use it to get to several lakes too !!

Wow, it cuts pretty well the water. I thought that by being a wider boat it'd go slower with such outboard. I have a 5HP and I run a 1meter wide 13ft kayak with it and I get 14mph as much.
