Is the NEW 2025 Fender Standard Series Trash?
Should you buy the new 2025 Fender Standard Series Stratocaster or Telecaster? Well, probably not, but depending on what you're looking for the answer might be a little more complicated than that. In today's video we are going to explore whether or not the new Standard series from Fender is worth the money, and worthy of the Fender name.

Logic Bounce Bug? Why Does Logic Create Silence at the Beginning of my Audio Region Bounce???
มุมมอง 37814 วันที่ผ่านมา
So this is a weird bug I've run into recently. When I have a DI guitar track with an Amp Sim plugin on it, such a Neural DSP Mesa Mark IIC , after I bounce the track the audio resulting audio region has a small section of muted space at the start of the region... It's super frustrating, why Apple why? #LogicPro #BounceInPlace #SoftwareBug

    Agreed the MIM Fenders, especially the new Player IIs, seem a lot closer to a "standard" I'd expect from Fender vs. Squier. Given how much less (under $400) you can get a new CV Squier for....seems like a sucker purchase to buy one of these new "standards."

    Before you reveal... A = actives B = Passive. A was a tad brigther, more compressed with more sustain. B warmer and a little more note definition. But essentially, and for any usable intent and purpose.... the same.

    FYI USA select/custom is best for sure but the American series is shockingly flawless QC. It has some downfalls like the binding missing (aesthetic) and Floyd Rose 1500 (function). Now the bridge is fine and stays in tune but it doesn’t have the smoothness of the OFR. Now this is my experience and opinion. I am sure it’s not always the case.

  • @Thirteen31Music

    Currently looking to get one of these. I think that Jackson only makes the USA select models to order which is why they’re almost never in stock anywhere. Iv also heard the custom shop waiting time is 3-4yrs at this point which is madness. I bought a Custom Select RR in 2013 and it only took 6months from order to delivery and the price at the time was insanely good value😂 if id known then it would be that long If have ordered a few more.

    I believe this is plug-in specific. I've experienced similar behavior in the past. I would contact the plug-in manufacturer and make them aware of the issue. As a workaround: have you tried bouncing in place a second time directly after the first?

  • @LasCosasComoSean
    @LasCosasComoSean 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Yes, it started happening to me too. Since the last update (11.1.2) Every time I bounce a project, there's some kind of "hiccup" stepping on the first notes of any virtual instrument at the beginning (Kontakt, mostly). No displacement, just a silence gap on top. This forced me to add an extra empty bar and then cut it out later. This was never happening before. I'm pretty tech savvy and fluent with Logic Pro. I know EVERY SETTING and what it does. Definitely a bug, just like the Input Monitoring one in 11.1.1 These bugs are SO WEIRD. How can they f@&k such basic and simple things is beyond me. Apple need to keep Logic Pro's developing team in line. It's becoming a gamble to update lately. And it really messes up the workflow of professionals like myself. I love Logic, but Apple's disinterest and slow bug fix updates are exhausting. Macbook Pro M1 Pro 16" / Sequoia 15.2 / Logic 11.1.2 running in Native mode.

    • @formentera4654
      @formentera4654 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, you are right. The solution is to add one or two bars containing any note to the beginning of project on VST instruments . On audio-tracks with VST plugins you have to add one or two bars of recorded audio file (silence i.e.) to clear the buffers. This was the procedure for years in former times ;-) - No real surprise to me that the bug still seems to exist.

  • @formentera4654

    A long time ago we had the same problems with Logic, because Logic could not handle VSTs correctly - it had problems with clearing VST-buffers or something like that. Maybe that this is still the case - one of the reasons why we quit Logic and changed back to Nuendo. It' a Logic bug.

  • @DanBires
    @DanBires 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Yes, in Logic Pro, when you record a track, the audio will automatically snap to the nearest grid point based on the current "Snap" setting, which is accessible in the Tracks area menu bar, allowing you to align your recording to the beat or desired division of time, depending on your chosen snap value

  • @supasoulproductions
    @supasoulproductions 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

    You could try using the little triangle at the left of the timeline (in the bar number strip) to put some space in the time line (It creates negatively numbered bars before bar one) Then still set your cursor at bar one and record. If it works, you can make a template of that setup.

  • @ersatzmann

    I had the same problem (m1 MacBook, Sonora, latest logic-version). This does not happen, when there is no activated plug-in on the master track (for example waves´ ultramaximizer). It was very annoying, because I had to produce a number of drum loops, all had a very short silence at the beginning. Now with no plugins in the master-channel-strip it does not happen again.

    What format are you bouncing to? MP3 does this--exactly this--and has for 20++ years. If you are bouncing to MP3 try WAV, or something else and see if that helps. I don't use Logic, so I can't actively troubleshoot this, but I have seen this issue in numerous other audio editors, and it's always due to bouncing to MP3.

    • @GuyWozniakAudio
      @GuyWozniakAudio 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      When doing the bounce in place procedure as shown in the video, MP3 is never the output file option. In Logic settings you can choose WAV, AIF or CAF - in this case my settings are WAV.

      @@GuyWozniakAudio Again I don't have Logic over here, but I can help you troubleshoot some basic causes---have you looked at latency settings? Have you tried setting them to 0?

    If you like shooshy, fizzy, cold, raspy, ratterly gain, thin, cheap sounding IR's you'll love the Pod Express. I sent it back after 2 weeks of trying to get some decent tones out of it. The cleans were OK but the moment you added any gain, no, just cheap sounding. I was conned as were many others I suspect.

    For me, its both! How nice that since this video was published we now have the editor/librarian. I use that all the time, although Roland does need to work on it a little more. It can be a little buggy at times and crash. The crashing is more with the librarian. Editing synth tones has been stable for me. There is also another gap where the new native JPX engine does not appear to have editor or model in Zenology. I do have to connect up the hardware and either use the editor or front panel. I can not use my DAW and then export patches for the Jupiter-X or Juno-X native synth models. I do not see ever parting with my Jupiter-X!

    Active pickups for metal music like the EMGs 81/85 etc are not just for the sound but for the response on your hands. For example it's not easy to play a song like Master of puppets downpicking all the time for almost 8 minutes with PAFs no matter how much distortion you put in front. With active pickups the response on your right hand feels smoother, easier and faster. If we are at a gig and I use passive pickups, I would rather not play a song such as Master of Puppets cause it's tiring. On the other hand, songs like ''Crazy Train'' or ''Bark at the Moon'' I prefer passive pickups cause the output of active pickups on these riffs is too much if you play those riffs too agressively. I think for modern metal or thrash, active pickups are a better option though
