Do you ever mentor photographers that want to become better wedding photographers
your amazing learned so much from you can you please tell us what you set your awb for your weddings
Thanks so much! Usually I shoot in auto white balance but always use K during receptions
This isn't too long. I actually love them even longer! Nice to see a venue I know as well! Was that hotel in Staten Island? I almost feel like I have been there. Those suite rooms are big!!! haha. Thanks for sharing!
I didn't catch it if you said it...what was the flash power when you were doing those details?
Thanks for watching! No I believe it was a hotel somewhere in fresh meadows! Loved the room
Hello, I'm curious. When you shoot a full wedding and there are a lot of photos, about 400, do you then process all of these photos or only a specific number of photos are processed?
I love your content brother! Keep posting! Thanks for your hard work!
Thanks so much! Absolutely, more to come!
Congrats bro🎉
Appreciate you! 🙏
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Nice relaxed and chilled approach.
I really enjoyed this thanks for sharing!
@@Fifthimagez thanks for watching!
How do you know which color gel to use in a reception?
I look at the overall color of the room, especially the colors of the lighting. If it's more tungsten and orange, then I definitely use orange gels. I only use orange cto gels, haven't used any other colors!
I really wish you had a voice over talking about your off camera flash settings and the positions in the room you set up to achieve the look during lighting setup section of the video
I'll definitely do that for future videos! But for this one, picture a skinny rectangle as the space. I setup 3 flashes in the corners. One flash was placed closer to the middle
@@kairosweddingsphotovideo Thank you for responding! I was wondering what is your starting baseline settings for each flash for these dark reception places?
@@JaySea I always shoot manual mode and I mostly use 1/32 or 1/64 power when using flashes as key light. And I use low power (1/128) when using them as backlight.
@@kairosweddingsphotovideo Thank you for that! I'm about to pick up 2x Godox AD200 Pro II and had two more questions for my upcoming wedding. Do you point these external flashes inwards to the centre of the reception or upwards to the ceiling? And do you attach any modifiers or just the rectangular Fresnel that it comes with?
@@JaySea niceee great choice! Let me know how it goes! I usually point towards the middle of the dance floor. I don't attach any modifiers. Only gels when needed
I really appreciate your videos, they help refresh my memory and I also learn new things before shooting each new wedding. It's like shadowing/second shooting for you without actually being there!
Thanks a lot!
🎉 congrats
Excellent work as always 🔥
Thanks!
Really appreciate these. Watching this before going to shoot a wedding and it really helps get me into the right headspace for it. Thanks for the work you do!
Thanks so much!
I enjoyed the bts! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Good tips
Thanks!
Love it 😍
Cool work ❤
Thanks!
Wow😍. Sir Can I ask? What about your White balance? Are you still using Auto?
I use auto white balance most of the day. But I never use auto wb when shooting reception!
@kairosweddingsphotovideo are u using kelvin if you are shooting indoor or reception?
@@aj.aranasfilms Yes, always shooting in kelvin for reception
@@kairosweddingsphotovideo may i know your adjustment of kelvin when shooting reception or indoor?🥺
njce
Thanks!
I know why you didnt get couple portraits during the day. You spend so much time doing group photos @ 13:37. That’s a wasted 10 mins set up where you couldve just asked them to stand on that spot and organise them according to your vision. Just saying.
amazing video so informative
Thank you!
awesome shots and post-process, by the way, where do you mount your GoPro or what for taking BTS videos?
@@axalilin307 thanks!! I mount it to my chest haha
this is awesome brother
Thanks! Really appreciate it 💛💛
Great job!
Thanks so much!
I love this channel .
Thanks so much!
You flash is very bad.
i’ve learned sm from your videos man, thank you sm
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful couple
When the sun is going behind the clouds and back, just set your shutter to as high as it would be if the sun was out. Your ISO will compensate if your exposure comp is set right. The noise in such situations is very negligible seeing as you have a modern full frame
I would have offered a polite comment, here and there...."Uh excuse me, but may I have you step 3 feet to the back...yup, all the way until you hit the water. Perfect!!"
😂😂😂
Good job.
Appreciate it!
Thank you for showing such a great video! You’ve got a new sub! Do you always use the overhead lights during the reception for all the weddings you go to? I have a wedding coming up soon and I just have the flash that I was going to attach on my camera for the duration of the reception. So is it helpful to get the gear you used?
Thanks for the sub! Yes, I use the same flashes for all of my weddings. Personally,, I think off camera flash is pretty important to have. You can get by with just on camera flash but having OCF gives me better looking images!
Solid work!
Thanks!
Hello sir kya price lete ho 1. Wedding ka
Super video bro.
Ever lost any jewelry?
I'm an aspiring wedding and events photographer and I'm on a learning path, that includes reading the suggestions of pro photographers in forums and watching pros like you on TH-cam. I must say this type of content is really hepful as it serves as a great how-to guide. Good job!
Thanks so much! Wishing you all the best on your path!
@@kairosweddingsphotovideo Thank you. Wish you same with your YT journey.
finally who does behind the scenes and good photos at the same moment!!!
Haha thanks!
what lens you shoot with most? 50s? any prime 85?
I shoot mostly on the 85 and 35
I don’t know how those trees were not bothering you, tree growing out of somebody’s head is a big no no.
Doesn't bother me too much haha~
Great job. Just remember the camera lens focal length data: 20mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, etc
I think the videographer was using shorter/wider lens.
Thanks for doing this video. One thing that especially impressed me was that you got individual shots of each person in the bridal party standing up front during the ceremony. I need to start doing this too!
Oh man, a suit during work. I feel for you :) Been shooting weddings since 2004 and remember dressing up like that. Fortunately our market here is a lot more forgiving (I think NY might be different) and as long as you are decent in a black polo shirt, black pants, and comfy black shoes no one even bats an eye, even in 5 star places.
Yea unfortunately here in NY, we need to dress up a bit more, at least from my experience. I envy you!
Will you be doing a detailed guide on the off camera flash used and their settings for a few different situations? Would love to see that!
Hey JaySea, already in the works. :) Waiting to shoot a couple more weddings with different locations/situations
This video is 🔥. Photos look amazing as always
@@YangYummm 🤙🤙
Really appreciate your work in making these videos - educational, informative and fun. Watching these the day before weddings really helps get me into the zone. Keep it up!
Thanks! Really appreciate it 🙏
ill guess your lens and correct me if im wrong.. 85mm 1.2 and 35mm?? nikon??
My gear is listed in the description :)
@@kairosweddingsphotovideo how about editing videos bro like your clean edits
What’s your perspective about having the lights on the stands as you have t them compared to having one on your camera? I’ve always used an on-camera flash.
I believe both uses of flash are equally important. On camera flash is great for bounce flash and off camera flash allows you to have more controlled directional light. Hope that helps!
@@kairosweddingsphotovideo Thank you.
