If you hold the up and down buttons down at the same time you can adjust how fast it goes from the display mine goes 31mph
Here in the USA, there is no problem with having a thumb throttle, or in my case, with Cyrusher's Ovia and my new Kommoda 2.0 with a built-in throttle. Being 80 years old and with COPD, the bike must do most of the work immediately. On my 2023 purchase, which was the Ovia, I put 4,040 miles on it, and now the weather is cold, so I put it away for warmer weather. Would it still be worth trying to do what you did here? Both are 20-inch Fat tires.
Are you testing the speed by using the throttle? If yes, then it might be worth recalibrating the throttle on with the slower ESC. Not sure what the recalibration procedure is with these ESCs, though. You could try the RC ESC method, of powering up on full throttle, which would hopefully put the ESC in calibration mode with some beeps and the wheel not moving. Then you just zero the throttle, and it should make some beeps and be calibrated.
Wow, that was quite a fall. Didn't look like much of a hole. Bit of a wake-up call for me when I take mine out next.
bit late to this but what connectors did you use? and do you have a link? thanks
Is this a class 2 bike? I ask because a class 3 bike has can do 28 miles an hour, and 31 mph when you go into advanced settings.....
How long does it take to fully recharge an empty battery, please? Also, how heavy is the battery? If all you get is 20 - 30 miles, best to have a spare one when you are out for a ride...Finally, is it true, do you know, that with a certain adapter, one can recharge a laptop / phone off of the bike's battery? Handy when out camping. Thanks!!!
Hello can you help me, I live in a place where you can drive more than 25 km/h. I have read a lot about the ranger 1.0, it looked great, also fast and agile with fast throttle and pedaling with a lot of support. you could also make it go faster than 45kmh. Is this still possible for de nieuw ranger 2.0 cyrusher ?
Have you tried calibrating the throttle, like with an RC ESC?
How many miles did you do?
A lot of effort when yu can just cycle at 15.5 on road then do what want off road. If this bike was examined it’s still illegal
I think you’ve completely missed the point! 😂
No answers to any qs
I think it's range not speed people are concerned about
If you look online you can find the programming codes and software that you need for a laptop to change it Yes that is the programming cord
I love my Silver Cyrusher Kommoda. I just had to change my pedals because I hit a curb with one and it broke. I want to raise the handlebars. I put a basket on the back. My tires are loud, but it's ok, people get out of my way when they hear me coming. I hope I never have a flat.
I have the the komoda crusher with the crusher motor. I have not unrestricted it and it reaches a top speed of 33 mph depending on wind conditions.
ya i think ill give this bike a miss im thinking of getting the k800 but not sure there near the same price but u get allot more with the k800 i think
Hi Joe, great video on how to add the switch on the Cyrusher Kommoda. Would you have a link or description please for the parts you purchased from Amazon including the type of electrical wire needed. Thanks.
what type of suspension is this? is this air suspension or something else. Also how can you adjust this type of suspension. the one on my bike is WAYY to stiff even at minimum preload and compression
If you change wheel size in display settings to 30inches you get 40 mph on throttle and 50mph pedal assist. You lose torque though
Hi. My knees are shot to bits so considering either the Kommoda or the Ovia. Do you still own yours & do you recommend these bikes?
What is the best oil to lubricate the top part of the fork ? Thanks.
Amazing how some people can waste money.
@@Hayesdec amazing how cynical and judgmental some people can be😉 I’m pretty sure I could judge how you spend your hard earned cash and declare anything I wouldn’t buy a complete waste. I wouldn’t do that because it’s your money, that you’ve worked hard for, and it’s your choice how you use and enjoy it.
Hello! How did you repair the punctures update please. Thankyou. Very interesting 👍
have you wired this on the battery or only the extension on the tilt switch
Good job Joe. Very interesting video. Have you done a speed test using the control panel speed changer to see if it makes any difference ?
I have the Kommoda and changed the tyres for Swalbe Moto X. Got the same rack as yourself the Buzz rack e scorpion..do you find it difficult to consistently fit to the towball? Seems to not fully engage on occasions.
Most E-bikes with rear hubs are a pain to remove maybe we should carry a little can of tyreweld not to go mad with it you find it hard to get of the tyre but and adequate squirt would get you home I would of thought. Also those liners you can get between the tyre and inner tube my partner has them on her rad bike they work very well doesn't get many punctures now!
I have just got myself one of these Komodos absolutely loving it, but I noticed this offset ratio thing compared to my partners E-bike which has 24" wheels with those 20" wheels really considering that smaller cog like you suggested.
Hi Joe, I love the content. Is this applicable to all Cyrusher bikes? I recently purchased the new Ovia model and was thinking of doing the same for off-road use.
It is already legal to people who have a car license, your allowed an electric bike on the road up to 28mph, you just have to register the bike with DVLA, which then becomes a moped on de-restricted mode, but it has to be insured & taxed , but then you can't ride it on trails or offroad. They have you all ways
Hi new subscriber - thinking of buying one of these your videos have been a great help - keep it up
Hi, i removed the controller because it was pushing over the cable of the gears, but now i cant put again all that mess of cables and the controller itself inside that small space. How did u manage ? I wonder why they designed in that way damn!!
Hi, yea, it’s a really tight fit. I panicked a bit the first time I took mine out. It took me a while to get it back in. If my memory serves me correctly, you can reach up inside the frame from the rear and pull the cables through as you push it the controller.
@@Everything_E-Bike hi, thanks for the answer. Yes i did it at the end, and it wasnt easy. It's a pity, because the bike it's built fine, but this aspect should be solved in different way
I have just done this mod and yes its a lot better now and the top speed has vastly improved
I have a late 2023 Kommoda (now £1400😊). It has the Cyrusher motor. Tilted on its stand and hand cranking the peddles in 7th gear and Pas 5 gets the display upto 30 mph…despite the speed restriction to 15.5 mph which happens when riding. Is that fast or slow? A moot point really bearing in mind the restriction, unless rigged for off road. Do remember the obvious issues with derestriction…three points on your car license, a hefty fine and your bike confiscated (or impounded miles away with a big release fee and daily storage charge!) All that said it is a nice machine and the step through for old stiff hips is a godsend. Oh and these bikes have cruise control (hold the walk command at speed to activate on/off and brake for off also) which is also illegal…so don’t brag to plod huh!
unclamping with effective remote control system! th-cam.com/video/gvT-57NYkFE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hXHMQiSIOJmAssUR🎉
A few weeks ago, I bought the Cyrusher Bandit and its been an absolute joy to have, I've wanted to install a thumb throttle onto it however due to mixed opinions from different sources including bike websites and even police themselves, I am left unsure about whether or not its legal to have a thumb throttle on the bike and I don't want to risk having the ebike seized, what do you know regarding the legality of restricted ebikes with throttles?
No question: Fix the teeth....
This has put me off buying one thanks
Ha! I recognise that hill. It's in my home town too! Would be interested to know how you are getting on with the bike after a year or so. Its on my short list. Would you recommend it still?
Me too. All the TH-cam reviews rave over it but the trustpilot reviews tell different story
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. BIKE WONT LAST A YEAR. ALSO THEY DISCONTINUE BIKES THEN DOUBLE THE PRICE OF PARTS
Wow. That hasn’t been my experience. If its only been a year you’re under warranty. I haven’t had any issues getting parts under warranty.
I can't find cyrusher xf690 maxs unlock speed limit or the wires involved, any help would be super appreciated
Link to the ideo that fiddles with wires or the color of the wire im looking for please bud?
did you find it? I cannot find the video anywhere 😔
I believe it was the orange one. Just disconnect the plug and it should be unlocked. Drive responsible though!
One thing most everyone will want to replace on the Kommoda is the rear shock. It is very overly stiff and meant to only accommodate a heavy person. Replacing the shock with an air adjustable shock turns the bike into a dream ride! Just for information the shock needed is the 6.5 in or 16.5cm long model.
Hi Where did you buy the shock from. Seems like a good idea
@@Hayesdec It’s on Amazon.
Side note…another RC flyer👍 I have a WoT4 foamie too😁…..and a Kommoda….Life is good😂
At 6 foot ,3 do you have any issues I'm tall and looking at getting this type of bike?
I’m 6’3 and it fine. Super comfortable ride.
@@Everything_E-Bike thankyou for answering much appreciated
WALK MODE..If you have an e-bike that has walk mode...it actually has hill start, walk mode hill start, try it...J.
Cyrusher warn against this in the user manual. Which could be either: 1) Because it is effectively a fixed speed throttle therefore illegal to ride when activated. 2) Maybe stresses the Moss Fets in the speed controller. If the former then I’d say use to get going.
Can you point me in the right direction to do this on my cyrusher xf690 maxs? Color?
Sigh. I bought suspension forks cuz I needed longer forks. Never had them before, never felt a need for them. I just want to keep them from accidentally damaging the battery that will be hanging up there. Thank you for the concise and straight forward explanation.
It would have been nice to see how you adjust the preload.
