Good that you set it up in Meters (feet/in not the rest of the planet).. if really doing this for a building, need to do the floor before a wall (individual rooms), because the wall sits on the (concrete) floor.. but.. if an internal floor inside wall, will be for such as carpet/tile area.. as that some people might want to do individual rooms first with each having their own floor area.. just in case that rooms are separate, as on a bill of materials, just for the single room. It's one or the other.. that we have a choice of what can be done. Roof plugin.. GenerateRoof-4.5.sh3p in the plug ins and tools.
Thank you so much!

Great Explanation for this card! Is it possible to change the color of the button (circle) to yellow when the light is ON?
something like this? i1: card: type: custom:button-card entity: switch.shelly_2_switch_2 show_name: false aspect_ratio: 1/1 icon: mdi:lightbulb-off state: - value: 'on' icon: mdi:lightbulb-on styles: icon: - color: '#e6b800' - value: 'off' icon: mdi:lightbulb-off styles: icon: - color: '#404040' tap_action: action: call-service service: switch.toggle data: {} target: entity_id: - switch.shelly_2_switch_2
By far the best description I've seen, have subscribed and liked, now to watch your other videos, keep it up ***** (5 stars)
thanks mate, appreciate it
how to switch to different floorplan level?
Great video, with clear and concise descriptions and examples, thanks for sharing.
thanks mate :)
the name that u have is Dinning in your config is black and in mine is white and i want to change its color but i dont know how
AHHHHH again! just add "- color: black" under the name variable?
😍😍😍

Your video is exactly I was looking or a while now. very great. could you help me a bit. Below the titel of the card, I would like to display some sensor information which are relevant from this room, like temperature, co2 air quality, humidity, and a small icon which lights up when there is presence in the room. Could you point me in the right direction to extend these kind of values below the wording of the room? many thanks in advance
hey mate, ill get back to you soon, lost my HA instance this weekend =="

Glad it worked mate!
can you share the link to download the source of your png picture
hey mate, i will start a GITHUB page and share code.
I've been looking for a long time for a way to do this in my home assistant. Thank you so much for sharing. Amazing video series. Keep them coming please. It helps tremendously.
thanks mate, i have just moved into me new home and will have loads of videos on the way. Stay tuned!
looks great! unfortunately I can only work in YAML mode (it's too much work to configure everything from scratch on my instance). Could you please post your yaml file for this floorplan setup?
Great tutorial, helped me a lot! But I have one issue remaining and I can't figure it out : whenever I switch the lights on individually, it works perfectly. But when I have multiple bulbs on, the light animation only works for one of them, the other animations remain dark... What's the issue here?
hey mate, it sounds when the images have been taken and the overlay is created... I have done the same issue in 1 or 2 spots and will be redoing it. when you create the overlay; you need to ensure that when overlay A is done it does not touch overlay B and other way. so when you turn overlay A on its not affecting overlay B. hope thats the issue in your instance and can solve it. let us know how it goes.
terrible audio
cheers, ill get it sorted for the next one
Best video I have seen on floorplan tutorial ! Congrats and thanks you very much
thanks mate
Hello , this is great video, do you know how to fix the position within the map, independent for the screen? at the moment on the PC screen the position is different from iPad or mobile
hey mate, i will be migrating mine to a touch screen soon so i will have to see what is going on. currently i was just testing it on the PC.

Hi Maslo, congratulations on your videos. They are fantastic and very clear. Can you tell me where I can find the syntax for all the programming in this HA, like style:, '--mdc-ico-size" :, etc etc etc. Thanks
thanks mate, I will shortly have Github repo available for code sharing.

Can do all of this, but doesn't know the difference between "dining" and "dinning". Amazing.

Sorry mate, ill speak up. cheers

Great video, finally an easy explanation. But I have a question, I did follow the video exactly and everything works great for but whenever you click somewhere on the map where there is no button, it still triggers the light switch menu. I see that also happens in your video. Do you know which part of the yaml code is responsilble for that , so I can fix it somehow. Thanks for the video!! Really great work!
hey mate, cheers for that. i know what you mean, i have it on my to do list to figure it out and get rid of it. ill share it if i find it and let me know if you do it before then please :)
how you open the dev page in the right side? sorry dont understand.. amazing video!!

pleasure mate!
I am just in the processing of doing this myself, great to see some good english-speaking tutorials to fill in the gaps of my own knowledge. Thank you!
thanks for the feedback, best of luck with yours :)
After watching loads of different guides trying to figure out where I went wrong, this video saved me! Thanks for the clear instructions, kudos to you!
thanks mate and appreciate the feedback
the alpha channels are causing the overall lighting to dim in my case when more than one switch is on, is there any fix for this? i.e., 2 simple ceiling lights, I would expect 2 to be brighter than one with more coverage. I noticed the coverage got larger but the first one dims. I believe this is cause by having overlaps when cropping i suppose? Are we suppose to ensure that each crop of the alpha channels are not overlapping?
hey mate, so if they are all alpha channels and set to 50% like in video should be no issues. just like when i demo the dinning and sitting spaces. brighter no as if you set them all to 50%, But coverage yes light source is showing it in both the RAW file and Blight Blended file. as for overlapping a lot of mine overlap and i did not see any issues. Hope that help else DM me and ill try to help out.
@@Just_Maslo Hi thanks a lot for looking into this. I was looking at your next video on the yaml configs, if you can refer to somewhere starting around the 17 minute mark when you were toggling different rooms. I see that when the lights at the outside porch was turned on, the adjacent room with tv in it was dimmed significantly. I am having the same thing and it seems to affect some regions more than others.
@@hk9443 yep i see what you are saying, i dare say that was due to my light blending. This was really a rushed blend where i wanted to ensure what i was doing working. I did want to redo it in the future as i want to add landscaping to it, guess that will be a true test.
@@Just_MasloOh can you share what exactly is done wrongly on the light blending? I have been trying many ways and I still get the dimming of some lights
@@hk9443 if the 2 images overlap when rendered then you will get dark parts, but also might be a limitation to the back end which nothing can be done possibly. not sure at this point until i dedicate some time to testing it when i created the version 2 dashboard, if you figure it out let me know as i would love to hear the resolution.
Great video. no time wasting ❤
Glad you liked it
Another fantastic video.
cheers mate
Great video. Love the detail on how to do this and fallow along

I have it setup, but my display columns are skinny, not wide like yours. I must have missed something, but can't figure out what.
yes he has not mentioned the dash is masonry, sidebar or panel. I had the same issue. You have to setup the dash as a panel.
sorry yes, it needs to be a panel.@@sashb9331

The vibration sensor idea is interesting, but what I hoped from this video was the Hass.Agent setup part. Maybe it's referenced in your text.
Next video idea: Add your MP3 collection to HA and play a random song
I did have a though to create a Music Media Dashboard/Control that compliments the TV/Media Remote.
@@Just_Masloyes I have watched that already but it would be great when the motion is detected in a room to play a random song from your music collection
