Vegan Chocolate Cake - Maria Dolce D'Angelo
Dry ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredients
2 1/2 cups almond milk
2/3 cups vegetable oil
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Frosting
1 cup vegan butter such as Earth Balance
1 cup vegetable shortening
3 tablespoons vanilla extract
4 tablespoons almond milk
2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
2 - 8" round pans lined with parchment paper.
Bake 350* for 40 minutes

My family would make this chocolate cake for birthdays with the butter cream frosting and serve with vanilla ice cream. We would call this cake Crazy Cake with butter cream frosting!!! It is delicious!
